Just read about it on the Seton Hall message board, and SH fans are hoping that KW is not involved.. While I didn't read the Manhattan board, I'm sure that Jasper fans have the same concerns. I have my fingers crossed that both fan bases have their prayers answered.

I have my fingers crossed that both fan bases have their prayers answered. As of right now the allegations are against Andre McGee, who worked for the program from 2010-14.

IONA86, we all know that a Grad Asst (was that McGee's title?) wouldn't do this on his own. Or at least I doubt he would. RP or his lead recruiter would have to have known. Just logical to me.

He was a graduate assistant his first season but was promoted to Director of Basketball Operations. I do not know how the assistants, the coaches who were doing the recruiting, did not know about this crap.

I have a hard time seeing how the head coach distances himself, especially if it was a graduate assistant. This is not an assistant coach, or associate head coach, who has gone rogue.

Story needs verification to determine what are the facts and what is fabrication. It would b pretty hard to believe that things involving recruits on campus could be kept under wraps without the Head Coach and Assistants knowing. Pitino is such a control freak it does not seem plausible he had no knowledge if story is true. Would love hear him answer questions on the situation if it is true. The situation smells bad to me.

Bottom line is how did a guy making very little afford to pay the hookers? Pitino's bizarre interviews regarding the subject are not helping the situation. When a reporter on Friday asked Pitino if he was denying the allegations in the book, the coach quickly corrected them by saying “I didn’t say that,”

Furious Rick Pitino Adamant Media Trying To Tarnish Name Of Great Escort Service
SPORTS NEWS IN BRIEF October 7, 2015 VOL 51 ISSUE 40 Sports · College Basketball LOUISVILLE, KY—Following the publication of a book alleging that a member of the school’s basketball department paid women to perform sex acts for recruits, furious University of Louisville head coach Rick Pitino told reporters Wednesday that the media was trying to tarnish the name of a great escort service. “No one, I repeat no one, in the Cardinals community has anything but good things to say about these ladies, and it’s absolutely shameful to see their names get dragged through the mud,” said an enraged Pitino, blasting news outlets for maliciously attacking the reputation of a highly regarded, hardworking escort service. “To say I’m disgusted and disappointed with the way the press has recklessly tried to cast aspersions on this escort service would be an understatement. Say what you will about me, I’m the coach of this team, but I won’t stand for the media smearing these women and the outstanding services they provide.” Pitino added that he was confident the university’s independent investigation would find grounds for legal action against members of the press for defamation of the escort service’s character.

Bottom line is if he knew about it, that ain't good and if he didn't know about it, that ain't good either I'll go a little further. We're talking about hiring underage girls for prostitution. If he did not know about it, he should be fired. If he did know about it, he should be arrested. Will it go down that way? Not a chance. Basketball is to important down there and he is too well loved. They'd also be tied up in litigation for years as they owe him 50 million dollars. As far as getting fired goes, the head guy "never knows anything". His people will protect him.

So the this years seniors have to suffer because of the actions of the staff? That is not fair. They should be banned for at least two years and Pitino should be suspended for at least 15 game and the ban should start next year. Players should also be allowed to transfer outside of the conference next season and should be eligible immediately.
