I don't think anyone should have a night, like I did, last night. I attended our Women's home opener and sat through 22 turnovers, and a 16 point loss to a VG VCU team. I then came home and listened to the Men's game. Both teams are now, 0-2. And like the Men, the Women will improve as the season goes on. Why I think the Women will improve. We are starting and playing two frosh, Lewis and Clay, and while they are making a ton of mistakes, they have talent and should show progress as the season goes on. And it seems to me that we now have a post presence in Ashley Murray, who missed just about all of last year with an injury. She's 'only' 6'2, but she's a good leaper and will become a defensive player of note, and can score around the basket. Now Joy and Aliyah (Sp?) are sleep walking on the court, but hopefully both will wake up. Our one consistent player is Marina, and last night our offense was better when she played off the ball. When that occurred Gillmore played point, and though she had a poor shooting night, she showed signs that she can handle the point. There is hope.
But, I'll say that being subjected to 37 TO's (combined) is not recommended.
