How is it possible that Iona hasn't played Seton Hall since Willard and Lyons left? Cannot be a coincidence. Someone, (presumably Willard) decision not to have Iona scheduled. When Willard was at the helm, didn't we go out to play Louisville? Didn't Baker Dunleavy and Quinny go play Villanova this year? Shaka Smart scheduled Texas a home/home with VCU after he left..

I’ve watched Villanova a lot and they are decent but not great team. I would say about the 25th to 30th best team in the country. Seton hall Is a bubble team, about the 50th best team in the country. Seton hall should beat them at home on senior day, just like st. Chicken should of won at msg. People make a big deal about beating nova just because they are defending champs. Nothing extra special about that win today, it shouldn’t lock up an ncaa bid but I’m sure it did, you get so many chance at so called “good wins” when you are in a major. They also beat a flailing ranked Marquette team earlier this week, ending the game on an 18-0 run. Never liked the guy or his performance, but he has done well overall.

Fair point. No argument there.

Willard would need to come back to HAC—not happening.

Side note- how many chances does St. Chicken get? The BIg east is soooo even, it’s like a better maac.

Now Seton Hall has hired Nyre. Iona has served as Seton Hall’s talent bank. Personally I thank God Cluess is Iona’s coach instead of Willard. Some form of home and home series, even a 3 for 4, makes sense for both teams OOC. I don’t think Willard would get much of a hostile reception at Iona at this point, if that what’s he worried about.

Rutgers played Fordham at Rose Hill this year, didn’t they? I don’t expect Seton Hall to show up at the HAC. Even on a 3 for 4 basis. It would show stones to do so.

They have $$$ muscle, 26 OOC game$ in Rose hill last three years, Iona has hosted 6 OOC games in that same period.
