Guys, remember the difference between CC and 1970, is that one is an Iona alum. Casimir is taller than him LOL! (Note: I am well aware I am not one to talk.)

FGCU lost at home tonight in the 1st round of the A-Sun tournament. Casimir didn't have a good game, so his college career is now over. Great kid, and one of my favorite all time Gaels. Wish him all the best He did get himself on Sportscenter with a top 10 play, on a steal and going coast to coast, twice going behind his back to avoid defenders. One thing he did get from going to FGCU is a lot more time handling the ball, he definitely improved his handle and that with his shooting may give him a chance to play some ball overseas. I wish him luck as well. Don't see that happening with Proctor's foot-speed (lack of, for benefit of '70) - either the steal or coast to coast. Just sayin!

Coach Grasso's Bryant Bulldogs fall to St. Francis PA. in the first round of the NEC tournament. Down by as much as 19 in the first half they fought back to within 5 with a minute left. Will be interesting to see who Jared has coming in next year. Expect continued improvement.

Grasso already has 2 commitments from 2 very good guards, including 6'4'' SG Charles Pride. Iona offered Pride when Grasso was here, and according to reports Iona was still recruiting him. This kid was offered by half the MAAC and St. Bonaventure. He took an official visit to St. Bonaventure and then visited Bryant. Grasso didn't let him get off campus without committing, a great job by Grasso.
There was some conversation on twitter from different local HS/AAU programs that they were going to push for Grasso to be hired if Manhattan and/or Fordham decided to make a coaching change.

Fordham will probably be in the market for a new HC in the next 2 years, but would never go for Grasso round 2. And Grasso would be a fool to even consider going back there. Talk about a dead program. Manhattan, now that’s a different story.

I knew Grasso had great local connections but these coaches were all saying how important Grasso is for the local HS/AAU programs. I remember one of the coaches was the HC from Christ The King. Would hate to see him at Manhattan, because these programs pretty much said they would all feed him players.

sharkey, your take about the HC at Christ the King going to Manhattan, with other programs feeding him players, would be a concern. Maybe, so but remember that the HS HC has lost influence in recent years. I read that AAU coaches and advisors now have more say where a kid goes. While I'm sure each case is different, but bottom line, I'm not too worried.
