Holy Cross comes in at 8-4 with 3 wins against MAAC opponents, and wins in Albany and UMass. Hopefully the home court will change our fortunes. By the time we take the floor on Sunday it will have been 7.5 weeks since our last home game!

Have to feel for the Crusaders. They have many local alumns, and they won't know what hit them come Sunday. Gaels feast on home cooking, and win big.

Iona's RPI is currently 304 out of 353. SPU, Manhattan and Monmouth all have an RPI worse than ours.

We have earned every bit of it. 05 I think you pointed out there has been only 1 season in Iona hoops history, with a worse 10 game start to the season than this year.(0-10 Ruland's last season 2006). I am going to the Holy cross game(wisely cancelled my plans to attend Columbia @ msg and @yale), I wonder if the place will be empty. Hoping for a miracle.

Except for Ruland's final season you would have to go back 44 years to find a season where we started the season worse than this year. I still think we can get it turned around for conference play. We definitely have the coach to make it happen!

Aside from all the disappointment to date, empty stands would really be a bummer for our first home game in almost two months! I guess we’ll see just what our fan base is going to be for the remainder of season. The “real fans” will be in attendance I’m sure 🏀

The Athletic Department is at least trying to fill seats with a ticket promotion for the next couple of games. And the Jets and Giants are helping out .

IC59, you mention the Jets and Giants who this year both stink. Why would whoever does Iona scheduling. . .after having played 9 games away from home. . .schedule the Holy Cross home game for Sunday at 1Pm the same time the Jets and Giants are on TV? Particularly when for the casual Westchester fans this Iona team to date has also under-preformed. . .forcing fans probably to have already found other entertainment venues to follow. To me strange scheduling that totally ignores fans.
