Probably a little less NCAA tourney talk this week. We were brutal on D in the first half. McGill 9 turnovers?? Lifeless

Iona down 1 or 2 or 3 with the ball last possession is a guaranteed loss, never pull these out, and I truly mean NEVER!
Tonight was another road game against a desperate team and another loss.
The first few maac games of the year I thought Iona offensively had turned the corner and was going to be tough to stop the rest of the year, but when your point guard plays as bad as McGill did tonight you can’t win. Also don’t know why Crawford didn’t get the ball the last 5 minutes.
Some other comments. How many techs is this team going to get, Agee again, and his grab of the Marist guys leg in the first half was just terrible and stupid. Hudson shows effort on d but almost every shot he has taken has been not even close, too bad offensively to play division 1.
Leaning towards 11-7 and third but we can finish anywhere from 2nd to sixth.
Despite the bad feelings after another disappointing loss the maac is still terrible and winning 3 games in March with Cluess is still a realistic possibility, just have to play average d for three games, hit a decent % of threes, and the good McGill shows up, and Crawford plays well as you would expect.

Gist was open on that three. It looked good from my seat. That tech for reaching over the line was a joke of a call. I’d love to know how many times it’s been called this season. That ref is terrible and missed about 40 calls tonight. Is the Rider win the shocker of the season? Anderson will never give Iona a judgement call. on the last three point attempt by Gist, Funk fouled Crawford on the rebound. No call. In stead Anderson checks replay to say EJ hit the ball was off the bottom of the glass. Iona deserved to lose, however. Just awful bonehead basketball.

Beyond words how low the BB IQ is on this team. The Tech on Agee was the icing on the cake. Bad loss, no excuse with it being on the road. McGill was horrible, 9 turnovers. Have no idea why Gist would shoot a three with 9 seconds remaining. Well Saturday now turns in to the battle for the PIG, with Iona now in 5th place. Gotta stop with the "bad loss" thing. We are a bad team.

Watched the game, been following Iona since I don’t know when but when you have refs that don’t give the same calls that can play a big part in the game. How many times did we get fouled and no call? Just saying yes we played bad but you should really look into that

Well the way I see it, we just lost to team with a guy wearing a scrunchie.
Who do you think we'll play in the first round of the NCAA tournament?

That's my Don! When do we go to the mattresses? Go Gaels!!! If we can improve our D, I will LOVE our chances in Albany. Virtual lock. But we MUST get better defensively.
