Losing is contagious and this team isn't very good. McGill is a great kid but his basketball play has regressed the entire year. He turns the ball over way to much and misses key free throws at the most inopportune times. Im sure a lot has to do with the players surrounding him but similar to the quarterback in football or point guard in bb turnovers will not allow you to win

When, at the end or near the end of the game, when Gist missed the "go ahead" three, it looked like he was knocked down. No call. But that's to be expected in an away game. And from a Thursday-Saturday game. After watching the game, I really needed a laugh and reading this thread, especially before the start of the game helped. And of all the terrible plays on defense, one, for me, stands out. Agee is guarding the Marist center who has the ball just inside the foul line. And instead of pressuring the Marist player Agee drops back under the basket giving up an uncontested 10 foot jump shot. Two points for Marist. That play was awful. One of many.

February 31st was a sad day. First- Iona losing to Marist has made it apparent to me that this team is truly challenged, not optimistic any longer. Second- Knicks trading away Porzingis, Hardaway, Burke and Lee in a move apparently to clear cap space to sign big free agents. The Dolan owned Knicks are a dumpster fire. If they think they will attract Kevin Durant they are delusional. Who in their right mind would join the organization other than for a money grab. No joy in Mudville.

Another bad game.
This team is no better than it was earlier in the season. If anything, they are getting worse.
This is my concern for next year too. I don't see these players getting any better.
Most players have their best years as seniors. McGill is having his worst. Yes it is a product of the players around him but he should be playing much better.
Cluess doesn't seem to be successful with this group in getting them to buy in. They make the same mistakes over and over.
The odds of them losing in the first round of the MAAC are 50/50.

The odds for everyone is 50/50,Rider who even though has 1 loss has been down double digits in 4 league games already, this league is totally wide open and ANYTHING is possible and wouldn’t surprise.

Thank you for drawing light to my mistake. Yesterday threw me into such a funk I completely lost track of the date. Correction- January 31st was a sad day. Glad I was able to bring a smile to at least a handful of people's faces. Unfortunately, still hard for me to smile. No hope for my Knicks until the Dolans are gone. I may have to consider becoming a Celtics fan.

Reminds me of the 2012-13 season except with less talent. We couldn't buy a win on the road that season (think we only had 2 or 3 conf road wins) and we were always a few late plays away from winning those games. This season same thing so far. In the Monmouth game it was a lack of a defensive stop, last night it was a missed 3 by Gist, and so on. Hopefully we can get it together like that team did by the time the conf tourney rolls around. The 2012 team was an NCAA team. 2012 was a twenty win team 2012 had Momo Jones, David Laury, Sean Armand. 2012 had wins @georgia, @st Bonaventure and win Neutral- Wake Forest 2012 had a 13-7 record at this point of the season. 2012 was a good team that struggled on the road, 2018 is a depleted bad team that really struggles on the road.

Everyone is going to have a chance: my guess on tourney championships out of the 10,000: Rider 3500 Siena 2500 iona 1500 canisus 750 quinny 750 Monmouth 400, niagara 200 Marist 150 fairfield 150 Spu 50 manhattan 50

MAAC Tourney is gonna be a wide-open blast. Most years people say that and it's not true. This year is the type of year a PIG team can win it.
