Big game if we want to stay in the mix for a bye.

I think Quinny is a sleeper to win the Maac tourney, Young team with that Senior(forget his name) that leads them in scoring. They got a couple of legitimate 3 point snipers. Great coach, they even have Tom Pecora sitting with them on the sidelines. Rider of course is the favorite, but I think Quinny has a shot.

Cluess lost 4 consecutive league games in his first season at Iona and it has never happened since. Let’s keep it that way.

This was probably discussed before, but Quinny has a guy who we offered and visited our campus back in the day. He eventually went to Tulsa and now he is on Quinnipiac, Travis Aston. His numbers are not good, which probably means career highs on Fri night.

Cameron Young as of today is the MAAC POY. PG Rich Kelly made a bunch of threes last game. Player to watch is Jacob Rigoni. He struggled early in the season but is a very good 3 point shooter who has shot well recently, and we all know how Iona defends the three point shot. They also have 6'8" GW transfer Kevin Marfo, who recently returned from injury and was leading the MAAC in rebounding earlier in the season. Very tough game.

The way this thread is starting out, we don’t stand a chance against Quinnipiac on Friday night 😉. Let’s hope we can keep the game respectable and maybe Sunday will get us back on the winning track...

I watched the Quinny-Canisius game at Canisius. And the Griff announcers said that Quinny was a three point shooting team. They run their offense to both the right and left and then throw a skip pass to the opposite corner and it usually resulted in an open three. I'll be watching for that type offense on Friday.

If we can win Friday over Quinny we will have the tiebreaker over them since its the only meeting of the year, this makes this game extra important.
