Hudson is really going to have to step up if Nik is gone for the season. It's interesting how broguy suggests Maxwell step up, brrf mentioned Risto and Greg suggests Hudson. We need all three of these players to step up each time they are in the game. Need to take some pressure off the starting 5.

I noted maxwell just because he may have the best ability to body up with some guys.

Attended game,a few observations: 1-Great to see Ricky hit 4 threes,we need this as we wind down 2-EJ needs to get the ball more down the stretch, especially when teams need to foul us 3-Agee all over the boards, now leads the league in rebounding 4-We need to get Ben going early or he can disappear 5-GREAT defensive stops continually in the 2nd half 6-Win,lose,or draw these kids play hard at all times, mental mistakes plenty but not from lack of effort. Didn’t think the Manhattan game would be such a big game 3 weeks ago but obviously it is.they will be ready to play and Massiello has them competing at their best level all year, should be a nice Friday night college environment,it would be great to get some fan support although I’m aware it’s a tough time and place for many to get to.

Despite having a beautiful facility, Quinnipiac draws about the same as Iona. Last night's attendance was 1585. And that is coming off a triple OT win with a player scoring 55 points. Not very impressive.

brf, before Greg beats me to it, I'll say that McGill is one of the guys that shouldn't return next season. Now, back to BB. I think it's fair to say that we won because Quinnipiac was very tired, and that's not surprising.. Shooting 49 threes has to be some kind of a record for an Iona opponent.

Not very impressive. Agreed. Ask Monmouth, Quinnipiac and Siena how many championships their top flight facilities have helped them win and how many fans they have drawn.

Not very impressive. I live literally ten minutes north of that facility in Cheshire. Here's what I can tell you. Around here the casual college hoops fan who isn't a fan of their own alma mater is a UConn (men & women) fan. Some locals in Hamden are Quinny fans but that is it. Quinny has a very good fan base for hockey and all their games are sold out. The hockey rink shares the same ground as the basketball court, essentially one big building in a satellite campus a couple of miles from the main campus. For men's and women's basketball there isn't much interest in the area. Last week we had an ice/snow storm and they were giving tickets away for free. IMO, it's a hockey school, and rightly so. They've played for national championships in men's hockey. Most of the students are residents, not a lot of local kids commuting. Tuesday night, it was kind of cold out, thought they drew pretty well for them. For years I brought my son and his neighborhood buds to see Iona play there. They are all in HS now, but grew up knowing about the Gaels. Also Sleeping Giant state park which is across a narrow road from the north end of campus was ravaged by a tornado last May. Thought I'd mention that because it took me three hours to get home from work that day, and I like to relive and complain about that.

Re #5 I81 my thought was that Q’pac missed open looks as opposed to our defense making the difference. Also both of those announcers really sucked on their analyses. They should be fired immediately.

We had hands in their faces more than normal but probably the biggest factor for them missing shots in the second half was tired legs. Maac schedule can be unfair, league needs to get back to an even amount of teams, should be 10 or 12.
