I like it. But many out here will hate it.
Those who know me know I always like to see our schedule as difficult as humanly possible, and unlike most out here, I don't care about home games. Yes, even in a year like this one, where it blew up in our faces. But, maybe, just maybe, we dial back the SOS for a year to get ourselves back on track. I'm fine with that--although I do hope it comes with a couple more home games OOC.

At least Ensor is trying to do something by setting up a conference challenge. It’s a small sign of progress. Hopefully we build on this and move on to bigger and better arrangements. My fear is that Ensor will say mission accomplished and not build on this. We’ll see.
There are worse things than 2 very winnable games in Florida at the beginning of the season.

Won’t help RPI,but 2 wins and a trip to Florida, could be worse could just beat fdu and wagner here Trips helpful with team bonding--especialy with new players. Not necessary to go across the Mississippi for this! (Selfishly, I love it!)

Won’t help RPI,but 2 wins and a trip to Florida, could be worse could just beat fdu and wagner here Playing and beating FDU and Wagner in New Rochelle - Not much of an incentive for a recruit to come to Iona. Playing and (hopefully) beating Stetson and the Commisoner in Florida - It ain't the Maui Invitational but spending a couple of days in Florida sure beats spending a couple of days in New Rochelle in late November

I like the games, It is much better than going out to Las Vegas to play U of Cal whatever. It will also give John Mateyko a chance to schedule a Guarantee game while down there. I would check in with UCF & So. Fla,. I believe the venue is the same one that the Advocare Tourney takes place.
