java, don't remember OT having a medical issue at a FF game. Maybe OT could help us on that one. Have to admit that when SPU had six seconds to go the length of the court, down one, and had Turner inbounding the ball. I was sure that the ball would come right back to him and he'd sprint to the basket for a game deciding shot. What I have no idea about is what Iona should have tried, defensively, to keep that from happening. Man? Zone? Guarding Turner. Allowing him to inbound the ball and getting it right back without a defender within 10 feet of him was a very strange decision by the staff. A dumb foul by Agee turned out to be a lucky play as Turner was on his way to a game winning layup similar to like Salnave did in the Monmouth game. If we run into this scenario again, I'm 100% certain that Risto would disrupt the inbounds pass and Agee would be way back by the opposite foul line, as the last line of defense. I thought it was odd that Agee was out by half court.

Crawford hammered on layup with 5 seconds to go.

Crawford hammered on layup with 5 seconds to go. Yeah but they usually "let them play" in those situations. Looked like he was hit on the arm.

What an insane ending.. I had seats near the court and I thought we were gunna lose for sure.
Side note. Took a bus up front Port Auth after a half day from work.. sat in the back next to.. of all people.. Mr. Jaden Daly himself.

Crawford hammered on layup with 5 seconds to go. Crawford gets fouled on most of his drives and it’s rarely called. Something he does makes the refs not call it, may be his double pumps or hanging in the air. The no calls have been consistent throughout the last 2 years. Most of his inside baskets can be called and ones, and few are.

Crawford hammered on layup with 5 seconds to go. EJ could have been called for an over-the-back on that last rebound (tie-up). It would have been a less tacky call than the number four on Agee at the other end of the floor.

java, you mentioned Oldtimer. It was against St. Peter's in the MAAC championship game, played in Bridgeport, a few years back that we lost and OT suffered a stroke during the game, and was hospitalized for a few weeks. Hope this win helps him. That's right 59. .. But if I'm not mistaken, wasn't OT taken to the hospital after that Fairfield final too? .... Fellows..........Was in good health until the stroke up in Bridgeport...I was lucky enough to be brought to a major hospital for stroke victims...I have survived 1 dozen major operations since that time...Docters have that ''You again attitude''...I am now recovering from my both hip operations and will soon be starting hopefully learning to at least to walk short distances with aid of walker... That was a ''Hell of a game'' last night...To all you cry babies, keep it in mind when things go in the other directions...As a long time fan, I have decided years ago the 'GOOD LORD' has left Sport Dececions out of his reign and results strictly up to those who play the game... Looking forward to Sundays game...I did not like the chances earlier in the years of ever reaching the 500 percent victory mark but now that we have 17-15 and beyond is the goal.!!!! OT......

Any time any one of us, myself included, want to whine about how we never seem to get the call or have any luck at the end of games, please go back and refer to this game.

I'll take the opposite side and suggest that EJ did a masterful job of twisting his lower body in such a way that he avoided contact while being able to get two hands on the ball to tie up the SPU player.

It certainly worked out but I wonder just how far Turner would of attempted to drive if Agee was back near the foul line to defend, as opposed to mid court. I'm thinking somewhere just inside the 3-point line and it probably would of been at the buzzer.
