Thought Gist was ok, just didn’t play well. Perez thought came out aggressive but then he just rode the pine. Maxwell got into Cluess’s dog house after a long three. Saw the two of them jawing at each other on the sideline. Meh this team has been an enigma all year. Maxwell should not be jawing with the coach. With Nik injured and Risto clearly more comfortable on the perimeter, Maxwell needs to realize that the backup 5 is his job. Instead of taking it out on TC, perhaps he should squeeze some boards and make some interior baskets.

java, you mentioned Oldtimer. It was against St. Peter's in the MAAC championship game, played in Bridgeport, a few years back that we lost and OT suffered a stroke during the game, and was hospitalized for a few weeks. Hope this win helps him.

I’ll take it. But, we stole that one. How that kid make those 3 threes, I don’t know. 2 of them would not be considered “good” shots. The real question is, how were we confused about the inbounds after 2 consecutive timeouts?? Even the announcers were pointing that out. To me, you put Risto on the out of bounds player and tell him to jump up and down like a crazy person and Agee should have been the safety valve deep in the paint. I'll bet the coaching staff will work on these scenarios. The team looked totally out of sync in that situation.

Dodged a bullet. Guys really need to rebound next game to have any chance to advance. Not mentioned, but Iona can't allow SPU to get their hands on the ball off of Turner's missed FT. Luckily, the possession arrow was in favor of Iona, and honestly Crawford could have been easily called for a foul since the SPU player found a way to get inside position.

I'm still in shock.
I would of bet the farm that Turner would of made those two free tosses and we we would of been left with a Hail Mary shot with 2 secs to go.

Can’t believe turner missed the free throw, looked like he took too long and thought too much.
As dumb as Agee’s foul was turner was about to make a layup to win the game.
Never saw the other 2 players on any team do so little. We won 3 on 5. As I think Java said the moment was too much for them, someone needs to show up the rest of the tournament. Cluess should tell Gist to take a 3 right from the start, he’s our best chance for some other scoring.
That was the epitome of survive and advance!

We dodged a bullet and I'm having my nitroglycerin prescription refilled.
I expected Turner to beat us when we were up 1 with 2 seconds left and he had a 1 and 1 after hitting three straight 3s to get SPU within 1. We were lucky he missed the front end and I was thinking that we were going to be called for a foul on the rebound.
We showed stretches of brilliance but also made a lot of mistakes.
Survive and advance.
Go Gaels!!!

Haven't seen St. Peters all year, but I have to think that's the best game they played. They lost 21 games. Guys were lighting it up. We didn't play great - looked kind of like we just expected to win, but they looked like the Warriors.

If not, that kid would of had a put back at the buzzer.
