Resulted in some gems. One guy asking why he wouldn’t go to Fordham for more money. Several tweeps tried to explain to him the issues at Fordham.
This guy was a HS coach in norwalk and tweeted some observations about Iona.
“Yup. My comment was in no way a slight to Cleuss or Iona. He recruited a few of my players in the past and I left extremely impressed with his program. And the way they do things. I think all the ncaa tourney appearances speak for themselves!”

Re Steve Enoch who the guy coached.
“He blew up on you Cleuss and especially Grasso were very impressive. Steven just got too good lol. Coach Grasso one of the guys I really root for after getting to know him and see what he does...”

He didn’t know that Fordham basketball died years ago. A few people educated him in response.

Another Tweet by Rothstein: “The MAAC was a two-bid league in 2012 when Iona played BYU in Dayton. Seven years later, the Gaels will likely return to the First Four in attempt to play a 1 seed as a 16. What does that all mean? The MAAC’s new scheduling policy did nothing to help the league?” Jon Rothstein, 2/12/19.

As usual, Rothstein is wrong. The problem is not who the MAAC scheduled, the problem is that the MAAC performed like garbage.
