So much talent in the NYC Catholic and public school leagues. Why can’t we recruit from there?

So much talent in the NYC Catholic and public school leagues. Why can’t we recruit from there? Because these kids don't want to stay local when it comes to college. It's not as if St. John's, Seton Hall and the rest of the "local" schools are beating these kids away with a stick. In a way it is a shame because some of these kids get promised the world and then eventually get recruited over at Whatsmatta U. They need to realize that unless you are an NBA talent sometimes it is better to be a big fish in a small pond, How many kids from the area wish they were Rickey McGill who gets a fourth bite of the NCAA Tournament apple?

Good Post. Thank you. I hope Iona’s success will change some kids minds about staying home.

It feels like things are starting to turn for the best. The McNeil commit is a MAJOR get for the program, and it wouldn’t have happened without the MAAC title. He was down to a few major programs and chose Iona in large part to our recent success.
Next up impact big(s). Have faith!

Good Post. Thank you. I hope Iona’s success will change some kids minds about staying home. I think we also need some help with the MAAC getting better. I’m very concerned with this steady regression. It’s harmful to recruiting and needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

Not a big deal but wondering if we are going to see more players defect from the MAAC...
Quinnipiac senior guard Andrew Robinson will finish his career as a grad transfer. One year, immediately eligible. @_itseazyy

Canisius and Rider are the teams to watch the next couple weeks
