This is a smart choice. BYU will be very good if we have a next year!

Wake Forest center Olivier Sarr is entering the transfer portal.
He plans to apply for a waiver to play immediately next season. The 7-footer was All-ACC after averaging 13.7 PPG and 9.0 RPG.

I follow Wake closely because my nephew goes there,I think we wouldn’t have a chance but IMO this kids a pro,Kentucky kind of transfer,he would be a 20-10 guy in the MAAC,easily.

Bigger schools aren't exempt from poaching either (Purdue, Missouri, UCLA, Quinny, etc). Kids are already proven at that higher level. Gonzaga, Duke et al will have their pick of the litter each season. An inexhaustible source of talent tailored to their needs. The Lords of the Castle. So much for all of the peasants

I still like the approach. Absolutely Pitino should go ahead and offer a bunch of 4-star players. Even he knows he's not going to get a bunch of them to come here. But really he only needs a couple during his tenure to come. If we get one 4-star kid for 2021 and another for 2022, that's AMAZING considering we're in the MAAC in a 2600-seat facility.
I know we all have dreams of Sweet 16s in our heads. Landing a couple of those kids is what will make those dreams come true.

I agree Guy;we can go after these kinds or recruits, we can’t get them unless we at least offer!

Every year I have dreams of a national championship. I have that same dream under every coach. You can't achieve what you believe is impossible!

I’m not saying that;Pitino will get a lot of really good recruits but a kid like this would be really tough to get. 81 There will always be 'He will be higher teams and players' ...There are over 350 teams in Div 1...In my time I have seen numerous players go higher and quite few of those never make it...Where would JEFF RULAND land today...Thats the way it is and thats the way I like it...Should we Socilize College basketball... See how long that would last..... IONA has more then forefilled my COLLEGE BASKETBALL lust over the past 70 PLUS years but I grew up in a generation much easily satisfied.... An now Lets make OT happy.....a 2 Day tourney with ST.JOHNS, SETON HALL, HOFSTRA AND IONA. Ib future yeara We can expand from there...
