The staff really has to rethink the idea of completely ruling out the Orlando tournament. With the difficulty of filling a solid OOC schedule this tournament is a no brainer. There is no excuse, with the expectations of this year's team, to have Fairfield going this year for the 3rd time and not Iona. It has been posted here in the past that Iona has declined invitations. This year Fairfield plays @maryland and then playing 3 games in 4 days in Orlando against USC, Davidson/Marquette and either Temple/Texas A&M/Harvard. This is the best exempt tournament a MAAC program can play in, yet it's been reported on this board, that Iona has zero interest in participating. It just doesn't make any sense. If Iona05 is correct and the best OOC games are a top 50-100 team, Uconn and Princeton with weak MM home games, that's a brutal schedule for this team. Uconn has some solid players returning and Hurley coaching, but also very much in a rebuilding stage. They will struggle some this season and are currently outside the top 150. Princeton is projected to finish mid pack in the IVY, clearly behind Harvard/Yale/Penn. One of those 200+ won't be home Vegas tournament that is still open would play Clemson and Colorado and then be in mid major part and play 2 of these Irvine, Louisiana or Detroit still a no brainer Las Vegas tournament makes sense. Don’t understand the reluctance.

Interesting few weeks coming up with the program. Finishing up the OOC schedule, response from NCAA on the two waivers and the naming of the new assistant coach.

The schedule has been posted on icgaels for at least 24 hours. Hard to win 27 games with a 26 game schedule.

Have no idea why one would post an incomplete schedule.

Have no idea why one would post an incomplete schedule. Agree! With the MAAC conference schedule going to 20 games. Only having a 29 game schedule. 3 of those Non- conference games having been previously agreed upon(Ohio 4yr deal and A-sun games). We only have to schedule 6 new games, this year. Don't know why they are posting incomplete schedules.

Says additional non-conference games to be announced.
Best guess is we land a Top 50 buy game on the road and two home games against 150-250 ranked mids.

Best guess a top 50 on the road, a 200+ at home and at a neutral site Still cant believe no msg and no tournament with our biggest promotional tool since Ruland and valvano And possibly our best team under cluess, which is saying a lot

Again Vegas fits... We can play Clemson the weekend before Florida 16-17 or later on the way down to Florida We would play in Vegas the Mon and Wed after Florida.. 4 games in 8 days but those first 2 r so bad..then hit Colorodo thanksgiving weekend So 4 days of school missed for Clemson 2 in Vegas and 1 at Colorodo... Can't miss any less school for 4 games not at home Then schedule the home game in December Schedule would be finished And look like this: Nov 9 @ LaSalle Nov 13 Ohio Nov 16 or 17 @ Clemson Nov 22/23 A Sun garbage Nov 25 and 27 Irvine,Louisiana,Detroit Nov 30 @ Colorodo Dec 4 @ UCONN DEC 17 Princeton Between the 17th and 31st last home game Keeps team home to study for 2 weeks for finals perfect In this whole schedule only 7 or 8 days of school would be missed By my count we missed 8 days for New Mexico and Vegas and about another 5 or 6 for the rest of the ooc so we miss a week less of school play 3 more games and a great schedule

Schedule is already done. Just waiting for contract sigs before announcing. Vegas not happening unless there’s a miracle.
