The most interesting question to me is what really happened to Still. We never really found out if it was injuries or attitude that kept him from playing this year or a combination of both. I'm guessing he's gone but who knows. The only other player I cans see leaving is Maxwell and I'm not sure it would be because he wants to.
Any other thoughts on this?
Hasn’t our history been one of losing players at the end of each season, often times we are surprised at who departs. I would have said Still, Maxwell and Hudson. Having said that, if Still is really the player we never saw and his time on the court was hampered by pain or discomfort, my guess is we keep him. Will say both Maxwell and Hudson showed lots of team spirit and in Maxwell’s case, Coach gave him plenty of time to prove himself. My guess on these two is that they finish their careers at a DII program where they will play.
i know the whole Hudson family loves Iona and they want him to stay and he wants to stay The family supported him every game and never got discouraged about his playing time

Hudson only needs to look at McGill for inspiration. Put in the extra minutes, work hard and keep his grades up and he will be fine.
I know we can't help it, but I really hate discussing specific kids' departures on this board, particularly if Guy is accurate about the team members reading it.

Also, Still is still suffering from a concussion.
This is fair, considering it's completely speculation on all of our parts. We have no idea who's truly happy here, who's not, and, just as importantly, what Cluess thinks about everyone.
I mean, it's not like we have the parent of a player swinging by, bashing the program, etc. Does that ever happen on message boards?

Understand the nature of discourse on boards--just expressing my opinion on not speculating about the future of 19-22 year olds. Not expecting a result.
I think that we will be better next season, and my hope is that the improvement will be reflected in our OOC W-L record. Realistically, an At-Large bid is a loooooong shot, but if we do well in our OOC games it's a possibility. The fact that we've been to the Big Dance 4X in a row should help. Looking back, we were very lucky to win the SPU game. Very lucky.

You have to put yourself in position to be lucky. We also put ourselves in position to be lucky with our opening half against NC. In the second half, NC made sure we were not in such a position with their second half.
SLG, my point is that in a One Bid league it's often a very fine line between winning and losing. As for Duke, if what happened in the UCF game had happened in their ACC tournament, it's no big deal, just one less team trophy. For us to win our fifth, we'll probably have to be a little lucky in one of the games, no matter how good we are. It's not fair, it's just the way it is.

Given that the MAAC won't be great and that I am not expected our OOC to be brutally tough (hearing more home games, which means weaker opponents most likely), we would probably have to be something like 26-5 going into the MAAC Tourney just to be on the at-large bubble. I think that's simply asking way too much, so put it out of your mind.
Yes, amazing that we went from what probably should have been a quarterfinal loss to St Peter's to leading UNC at the half. What a turnaround.

Seeing how they finished and IF the current guys who played on Friday come back, the OOC shouldnt doom us to a 16 seed level if Iona wins 3 games in AC. Will be heavy favs going into next year which hasn't happened in a few years. Expectation should be WIN and 13 seed (or better) next year. Prob wont have big wins, but eliminate number of losses (especially bad ones) and this is more than attainable.
