Y'all don't need to thank me, I don't do anything but shift you closer to the ledge when you get cocky and pull you away from the ledge when you're about to jump. :-D
The greatest poster in the history of the MAAC as determined by THREE separate polls.
Congratulations Guy. I started following during the Rivals days - I believe my first contacts were with you and MaacDog (Loyola). Up until that point, I thought I was the only person in the world who followed Iona basketball with such a passion. I guess I wasn't as abnormal as I thought.
I'll never forget that online trivia contest you ran and I ended up beating Gary Stanley in the final - needless to say, he was not pleased. As winner, I was awarded with the grand prize of a burger and a beer with you at the Beechmont. Well done.
Let's also remember the therapy this board provided to oldtimer after his massive stroke at the MAAC final in Bridgeport. Throughout his long recovery, it was Iona basketball banter on your board that kept his mind alert and got his fingers and hands moving again.
Lest we forget that among those 8,000,000 hits are those from those who are no longer with us but who's words remain behind as a testament to their loyalty to Iona. I'm talking about guys like GaelFan, Doomy and others who have been lost along the way. I'm sure they're all looking down on this MAAC championship run with huge smiles on their faces. RIP gentlemen.
And thanks to all the Cosa Nostra members for keeping this board interesting and providing a tranquil (for the most part) retreat from our hectic lives.

I'm sure that Greg is thinking that you're a "ledge-end"
Speaking of the MAAC board, Yankee picked Siena to win the league next year, so we are good for 5 straight now.
Now if we can get Mike Francesa to do that as well, not only will the #IonaDriveForFive be accomplished, but we will be heading to the Final Four in 2020!
I want to also offer my thanks to our Capo di Tutti Capi for all the work and patience he puts in.
I don't think I ever told the story of the time, back in the old days when Guy had to approce new members. It ever predates me joining, even though I knew that the Forum existed. One game I was sitting behind the visitor's bench just giving the opposing coach grief (can't remember who it was). Anywho, someone came up to me begging me to let him join. For some reason, he thought I was our esteemed GuyF - and if I were Guy I would hunt that person down and sue him for that miscarriage of justice It took me a few minutes before I finally convinced the dude that I wasn't who he thought I was - and I still think that there was a part him that still thought I was Guy!
