Legacy and tradition aside, if the MAAC were starting from scratch this is how it should be structured: 3 NY Metro Teams (NYC, Westchester, LI) 2 Upstate NY Teams (No Buffalo) 2 CT Teams 2 NJ Teams 1 Philly Team Something like this: Drexel Fairfield Iona Manhattan Monmouth Marist Rider Sacred Heart Stony Brook Siena Why would you take Sacred Heart over QPAC. QPAC has much nicer facilities and has shown to be willing to put money into the program.

My ideal MAAC:
Iona Manhattan Quinnipiac Monmouth Fairfield Canisius Niagara Siena Robert Morris Drexel Hofstra Northeastern
The three northern CAA teams lack FCS football, which that league prefers, and fit better institutionally here. SPU and Rider to the NEC. Marist to the PL.
I also wouldn’t hate rebranding the conference with a new name/logo/identity. Something having to do with the east coast. Play the tournament at the renovated, smaller Nassau Coliseum.

St. Peter's A Maac founding member, and our most often played opponent in School history. Minor quibble and I may be wrong, but I believe Iona has played Siena more than any opponent. Also, as an original member, St. Peter's hopefully stays until the school chooses to leave Division I or, and I hope this doesn't happen, has to close.

I hope that day never comes, where we lose the Peacocks. They have a great tradition. according to Iona record books we have played St. Pete 121X (71-50) and Siena 115x (65-50).

So have we lost to SPU and Siena more than any other school? If 50 is the most losses that is pretty impressive

Basketball and some football Inthink. Good school too.

Just make sure you get a new commissioner for this league!
