Understood. Had no car this winter and took public transportation to/from New Ro and Staten Island. So there are options. A thought is will decent/high ooc mids come the renovated HAC now. I would love for it to happen. Will the HAC be enough to get them here? If not then the County Center might be a possibility given Jelly’s following and a more locally accessible venue. Sellouts? Waiting to see what our home schedule looks like this year. Hopefully we get some mids with a buzz in. why is westchester center better for high mid majors than the gym? just play bigger schools in arenas and split costs with a second team

Let’s start with actually scheduling a few OOC games and then we can start being picky about the venues.

That 5000 number is not even close to reality for basketball. The Westchester Knicks attendance record is 3,341.

Dunno, the Liberty had 3,500 against the wnba Lakers at the county center. There are seating charts on-line for the County Center. Always listed at Max of 5K. I suspect 4k would be more realistic.

Per his instagram page, Washington has been cleared to play summer league ball, and is playing at 8pm tomorrow night at Dyckman. Will be interesting to see the reports on how he played.

This is why Isaiah Washington getting his waiver approved is so important, it goes beyond his play on the court. Just think of all the great players that played in the CHSAA, and IW is considered the 3rd biggest draw of all time. Pretty impressive to be named with Kenny Anderson and Felipe Lopez as the 3 biggest draws in the history of the CHSAA. The buzz around the program combined with the upgraded HAC and a loaded roster would be incredible. Who knows maybe IW will get his own ESPN 30 on 30 like Lopez one day..

To paraphrase the great Bill Raftery on CBS, I hope the boys have perfected the art of "making themselves available" over the summer. Van, Risto, Niko and Tajuan are going to see a lot of bunny opportunities coming their way with the arrival of Jelly and AJ. I see Niko taking out a lot of 'trash" this season. He was pretty good last season at following the play.
