Not bad, but a bit of a shoehorn. Well, I guess I'm not the one to complain about shoehorning a pun in.

Guy, that's a two weeker if I ever posted one. How about this:
"If you won't give me much credit, will you accept Cash?"

"A prospect that was on my radar while at Northside Christian in Charlotte was 2016 PG Colton Cashaw. He was back on my radar again after this weekend this time playing with Combine Academy Charlotte at the 22ft Showcase Academy Cup. He won a state title at Northside Christian under head coach Byron Dinkins, a former NBA and Charlotte 49er star. He earned team MVP award and coaches’ award for Northside Christian as a senior.
Cashaw is a smooth pure point guard who has good size, doesn’t make many mistakes with the basketball and has really good court vision. Cashaw is a true leader on the floor and is very vocal while leading his team. He does a lot of the little things really well. He was impressive all weekend at the 22ft Showcase Cup. He had 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for Combine Academy CLT in a win over Combine Atlanta and scored 26 points today for Combine Academy CLT. He explains his game like this, “I play with a high IQ of the game also with a lot of poise. I would say my game is a mixture of Chauncey Billups and Kyle Anderson. I compare my game to Chauncey Billups because I am a big strong guard that can shoot it and I compare my game to Kyle Anderson because he is not the fastest but he outsmarts everyone on the court and knows how to use his size to score.”
Cashaw helped lead Team Charlotte to the Under Armour finals Championship in 2015 coached by former NBA player Jeff McInnis. He was selected to NCISAA private schools all-star game also as a senior. He heard from TCU, Campbell and Kennesaw State as a senior at Northside Christian. He would fit well at a higher level Division Two school that would be a player who would consistent time all four years he is there and could also make an impact at the low-major to mid-major Division One level. Cashaw is a player that I will continue to watch his progression and he will make a college coach very happy." - Prep Hoops North Carolina - Justin Byerly 10/31/16

"Colton Cashaw - Cashaw is the leader of this team. His game is very skilled and fundamentally sound and he plays with a high IQ. Cashaw is very vocal on the court and shoots the ball with range." - Prep Circuit, Phenom National Showcase Game Preview: Saturday 430 PM Forsyth Country Day (NC) Vs Northside Christian (NC) - Jamie Shaw, 11/11/15

"6’2 senior Colton Cashaw will be assuming the leadership role this season for Northside Christian and he illustrated he is definitely ready for the challenge. We were impressed with all the intangibles he brought to the table at “open gym” on Monday. He was active and talking out loud and demonstrating his senior leadership. We really like his size and basketball IQ. He understands and knows the game and is a low-risk high return player. Cashaw won’t make many mistakes and doesn’t play out of his comfort zone. He ’s comfortable in his role and will be called upon to provide the on-court leadership for Coach Byron Dinkins. He may not be one of the top scorers this season, but we expect he will be one of the more important players on the team." - Phenomhoopreport - Sep 11, 2015

One of the biggest concerns after McGill graduated was the ball control and A/TO ration, which has always been one of the keys to the Cluess system. IF Washington gets his waiver approved, Cluess will be adding 2 PG'S that had a combined 223/70 A/TO ratio, obviously at 2 very different levels than the MAAC. Cashaw was 144/35 at the D1 JUCO level, pretty impressive. Looking at JUCO stats and video, Cashaw reminds me of a taller Ibn Muhhammad. Muhhammad played a huge role at Iona with the team going a combined 48-20, and if I remember correctly won the starting PG spot his 2nd year when Iona won the MAAC championship. Cashaw's scouting report that I86 posted is spot on. Kid worked hard and improved his couple seasons in JUCO, where he was able to impress coach Johns at a JUCO event recently enough to have Cluess offer him a scholarship. Yeah, first thing I noticed was no other D1 offers, but after researching deeper, this is a solid MAAC recruit. Can never have enough quality guards in the MAAC
