Van Eyck put up solid numbers, averaging 10ppg and 9rpg to go with 80 blocks. Looks like decent athlete with a nice handle for a 6'8'' Kid. Has had a positive A/TO ratio at every level. Played FIBA where he averaged 9 & 5. Looks like a solid pickup, and a fit for system. Nice to add a big who rebounds and blocks shots, especially if Thiam is not granted his waiver. Appears to be a Ricky Johns recruit.

Interesting to see that on May 10th he retweeted AJ Mcneil's tweet.
From several videos I saw on youtube, he looks to be a solid recruit. Like the size and aggression on the boards and defensive side of the ball.

sharkey, thanks very much. Sounds like a solid recruit. Hope there is a video. With the two waivers being granted, Iona should be great. If not we'll still be very good.

Looks like a decent player. Hope he gets an opportunity to crack the rotation.

He's another player who I believe will allow us to be more creative with Crawford if he plays fundamentally sound ball. I really like this team.

This kid is exactly what we needed. Versatile and legit big who can give us productive minutes and play beside Agee. Even if Thiam isn’t eligible we now have a formidable front court.
Jelly would be the icing on top, but even if he has to sit a year this team is still stacked. Heads and shoulders above every other team in the MAAC.

Not sure if I got this correct: 1. As a frosh, he played on the perimeter, but didn't see any stats. 2. As a soph, he played the center position, and averaged 10/9.
Is this correct?

Looks like a solid addition.
Welcome Mr. Van Eck. Hope you have the same impact on New Rochelle as Mr. Van Dyke!

As a frosh he averaged 8.5 PPG and 6.2 RPG. He was 49% from the field and 33% from 3 point range with 60% free throw percentage. njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2017-18/div1/players/dylanvaneyckjkm6

Let's just hope that Seton Hall doesn't poach him before he gets here!

Highlight videos are tough to use to gauge a players ability. With that said, he appears to have some nice tools. He has a good handle, very good footwork down low, a pretty quick first step, good hands, nice shot, excellent timing, good body control and a high hoops IQ. Looks like a very nice addition... a very versatile player.
