05, thanks. Two things: 1. Like Colton Cashaw, Dylan shoots free throws about 60%. Not too impressive. 2. For him to average 49% from the field, and only 33% from three, must mean that most of his shots were made close to the basket. So, I'm guessing we'll play him in the low post. More like Nicolic than like Ristanovich. Not sure if that's right, but that's the way it seems to me.

For a change--amazing depth up front, particularly if Thiam is eligible. 5 very serviceable players

I guess it would be some kind of legislative waiver rather than a hardship waiver. The addition of Van Eyck I think will also be a plus for Ristanovic, as Van Eyck has the type of all around game we hope Ristanovic can develop. Competition is a good thing.

1970, when a 6'9 kid shoots a lot of 2's, to me it means that he plays down low (like Nicolic). Now, if he were 6'2, I'd say he drove to the basket, rather than shooting from the outside. He's much more athletic than Nicolic, but in my opinion they both have played a lot of low post BB. Difference being Dylan can also play outside, even if his 3pt shooting percentage isn't very impressive.

59, look at the tweets sharkey shared earlier in the thread. He played the 5 out of necessity this year, he's really a 4 and maybe even a 3.

Van Eyck is not like Nikolic. He is more versatile, much better handle, plays well in transition and has an outside game.

Guy, I did see sharkey's tweets. But when 05 posted his frosh stats, it seemed to me that he probably also played a lot of "5" in his first Juco year. All I'm saying that based on his 33% 3pt shooting, that I'm expecting him to play mostly low post. Now, if that shooting percentage improves, maybe we'll see him on the perimeter. JMO.
