I watched most of FF and Siena games, and while FF had a gutsy, late comeback, I must say that Siena looked MUCH better. They are much more athletic than last year's team, and are fun to watch. Pickett looks improved, and Burns was better than expected (to me). They don't defend as well as last year's team, and I think that they played an American team, that was missing their best player, and yet they (Amer.) shot about 50%. The Saints were better than 50% from deep. And they'll have to develop a bench. After the MAAC games, I watched the 2nd half of Fordham-SFNY, which was tied at the half. The Rams fell behind by 14 early in the 2nd half, but came back to win, f/w/i/w. I'm assuming that it was part of a Men's/Women's DH, since it didn't start until 9:30 and ended at 11:30. The MAAC at 3-1 is back.

Yup. Need to keep winning the games we're supposed to win, and we'll find a way back to the low 20s at least.

Princeton was trounced 94-67 at Duquesne. Fairfield lost at home 68-64 to Bucknell. Jesus Cruz scored 24 points to lead the Stags, who made just 2 of 12 three point shot attempts. Monmouth won 66-62 at Lehigh. Ray Salnave led the Hawks with 15 points in 19 minutes of playing time. Rider defeated Slippery Rock 90-59 in an exhibition game. Frederick Scott led the Broncs with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Siena defeated American University 96-80. Jalen Pickett's 22 points led 5 Saints in double figures. Siena shot 52% from the field and 52% (11-21) from 3-point land. Ohio won 65-53 at St. Bonaventure. Jordan Dartis led the Ohio attack with 19 points. Stetson overpowered Trinity Baptist 84-26. Christiaan Jones led the Hatters with 23 points. Kennesaw State lost at Creighton 81-55. Rider played Coppin St. Trailed by double figures, then won by double figures. Resumeman is rusty LOL! Right you are Guy. The Rider/Slippery Rock exhibition was played on 11/2. Last night, Rider defeated Coppin State 91-84. Dimencio Vaughn and Frederick Scott each had double-doubles, both tallied 21 points, while pulling down 10 and 13 rebounds respectively. Tyere Marshall chipped in with 20 points and Stevie Jordan added 17. Interesting stat: Tyere Marshall was a perfect 9-9 on shots attempted, but only 2-7 on free throw tries.

Not sure where they will end up, but early on looks like a much better team than last year.

One thing i have noticed early with watching some of these games is how the new 3 point line is definitely making a difference. A couple years ago when they moved it back the first time there didnt seem to be much of a difference. Its almost nba range now.
