Not sure if the new three point line was the reason, but we did shoot 20% from deep. And if it wasn't the entire story, it could have been a couple of chapters in the story.

Kennesaw State (0-3) lost at Mercer 74-62. Two of their players each scored 14 points for the Owls, who shot 31.7% for the game.

Manhattan won at home 85-74 against Delaware State. Tykei Greene's 15 points led 5 Jasper players who scored in double figures, and they had two other players who tallied 9 points each, very balanced scoring.
Marist lost at home 62-51 to Hartford. Michael Cubbage and Matt Turner each scored 13 points for the Red Foxes who shot 19-60 (31.7%) for the game, and made just 9 of 18 free throw attempts.
Siena won at home 78-65 over St. Bonaventure. Elijah Burns, Donald Carey and Jalen Pickett each scored 19 for the Saints, and Manny Camper had a double-double (15 points and 17 rebounds).
Fairfield won in OT at Holy Cross, 68-63. Jesus Cruz was the top scorer for the Stags with 23 points.

Counting our game against Ohio, the MAAC was 0-6 tonight: (and upcoming OOC teams were also all losers)
Quinnipiac came closest to a win, losing 70-68 at Brown. Matt Balanc came off the bench to lead the Bobcats with 23 points.
St. Peter's lost at home 69-44 against Bryant. Quinn Taylor was the sole Peacock in double figures, with 14 points.
Canisius lost 83-57 at Albany. Majesty Brandon led Canisius with 19 points.
Niagara lost 89-80 at Stephen F. Austin. Noah Waterman's 15 points led 5 Purple Eagles who scored in double figures.
Monmouth lost 73-54 at Kansas State. Ray Salnave scored 20 points, the sole Hawk in double figures.
Princeton lost at home 72-65 to Lafayette.
LaSalle lost 75-59 at Penn.
UConn lost at home 96-87 to St. Joseph's University.

Siena lost 59-56 at Harvard. Donald Carey scored 17 points to lead the Saints who shot 24-59 (40.7%) for the game and 4-22 (18.2%) from beyond the arc.

Overall the Maac right now is 8-16. Not the ideal start to a conference which we want, but there's only one way forward and that's up.

While I can appreciate the positive attitude.. last year is a prime example of it not going up and I am not sure what's changed that would make anyone think otherwise.
