A couple of thoughts while watching this game. Baylor is pressuring preston who has tons of turnovers. Baylor looks to be running a 1-4 set on offense with a big man picking on top and the guard penetrating to the hoop opening 3 point shots and rolling action to the big man. Ohio having a tough time defending it.
Ohio has hit a couple of 3's to keep them in the game, but without them, they would be in trouble. Baylor is known for its offense and on pace to score about 84 points which is a good pace.
Referencing our offense, we run a similar half-court set when we don't do the 3 man weave. Seems to me that it would've been more effective if our guys would've penetrated a little more instead of always kicking it out for 3's. Baylor getting to the line a ton.
Ohio is running a similar offense to ours which seems to be effective. However, they can't stop Baylor down low when shots go up.
Just my thoughts.

Baylor very effective getting to the basket.

If Marist can get past the Citadel, should be a MAAC sweep today.

A few thoughts: 1. Rider looked VG in defeating Vermont. 2. Stetson played three games in three days. Surprising. 3. UConn might be a tougher game than Colorado.

LaSalle (2-2) defeated Murray State 75-64 in the Gulf Coast Showcase tournament. Better exempt tournament for us--could have incorporated LaSalle game. Northeastern, Weber St (whom we have played 2x in exempt tournaments), Drake, Miami (Ohio), South Alabama, Wright St, Murray St (won NCAA game last year). At least five teams that won a share of a conference title last season are part of the Gulf Coast Showcase. gulfcoastshowcase.com/

PS agree that the Gulf coast showcase is a good one.

Cue I70 to chime in here LOL.
Agree that we really need to get more involved with these, and the fields for them are already starting to populate so now is the time to express interest, but with Tim not there I doubt this is happening. Perhaps Iona should consider hiring an outside contractor to help assemble next year's schedule given our current status.

Somebody posted that one of the board members here, helped put our non-conference together one year. Whoever that was, Step up and help the school out again. We can use the help, be a little proactive and set up a decent strength of schedule AND fan friendly schedule!
