This could have been a real swing game, not just in the standings. All things against the Gaels today. If they were able to overcome and win could have been a season changing moment. However, overall team seems to be playing better and chemistry is improving.

Glad to see Gist back in the line up. If we're ever going to turn it around this season Gist will be a factor.
It seems we never guard the three point shooters on anyone we face. Just don't get it.

From the box score it looks like IW had a very nice game. I’ll watch the reply later.

Finally showed great heart and effort.
Team is shaping up finish somewhere in the 4-7 seed range IMO.

Played decent, hard to lose when you make 18 threes, but possible when the other team shoots that many more free throws. Don’t often see that happen at home though. Not much has gone our way this year.
Gist looked like he hurt his foot, hoping ankle because foot injuries can be bad news. Good to see gist contribute and jelly played very well. Need Agee to stay out of foul trouble, especially with Crawford out.
Season now looks like it’s down to 3 or 4 games in ac, be very surprised to see us win 2 down there.

Any news on Arnold? Hope he’s OK. Come on iona05 you know better than that. There is no such thing as “news” coming out of this program. He will be back when he’s back...

The whole sequence was very strange. He started the game on the bench and then left suddenly at the first timeout along with his family. If it’s a health-related matter hope it is nothing too serious.

Heard he left with flu like symptoms I remember once before being told our coach had the flu.

Which was the worst?
1, Coach possibly infecting the team with the flu. 2. Iona coaches being the only ones in the HAC who did not know that Gist was injured, when they had him attempt a free throw (which he missed) before being helped off the court in obvious pain. Never returned to the game. 3. Iona playing a 1-3-1 zone, opening up the corners for wide open three pointers.
P.S. Give King Rice credit for the way he worked the refs, right till the end of the game.

“P.S. Give King Rice credit for the way he worked the refs, right till the end of the game.”
I rarely leave a game feeling the officials did a BAD job or cost a team a game. However, the two young guys (Cruz & O’Brien) were absolutely horrible today. Coincidentally, they spent half the game standing alongside and talking with Coach Rice. Very unprofessional on their part! The disparity in foul calls was highly unusual - just sayin’...
P.S. Had we won, would have made the same criticism!

Is anybody besides me impressed with how good a ball handler Cashaw is; he also distributes the ball very well. In the last two games where he played more, he impressed me with how under control his game is. Unfortunately, I don’t think he is a scorer...
