Big games this weekend. Have to win your home games! Sans the last few mins of the QU game, this team seems to have found their stride going into the stretch run. Go Gaels!

12 Games to go. February and March. I like that we didn't play yesterday and presumably got some rest and of course no one got injured. Get healthy. Start the run; one game at a time. 12 conference games left. Just find ways to win. If we lose a game, learn and on to the next one. Don't think we need to go 12-0. Make the winning plays and if we're struggling getting shots to drop, keep up the defensive intensity. I'd rather win 43-41 than lose 70-60.

HB, hope you're correct, but it seems that many injuries occur at practice.

Feels like we've swung the other way, with the offense performing very well since Os came back (except for SPU, which has a top 100 defense), but the defense still needing some adjustment. I think if we can tighten things up even a bit more on D and then find ways to play better down the stretch in games (we are 0-6 in games decided by 6 pts or less), we'll be as much a threat as anyone in AC.

Does it seem like the MAAC schedule cadence is kind off? This seems like the third time we've had a week off between games. Definitely a different non-rhythm this year. ...and all teams have already played 9 or 10 games while we have played 8.

Since we haven't played since Friday, I got to watch a lot of the other MAAC teams on Saturday and Sunday. And the one thing I noticed was that most of the other teams have and we don't is at least one (and many have more) big man. Naturally Oz is tall, but rail thin. And because of this (absence of a post up game) we have to be much better from 'deep'. And as the QU game showed, late in the game, we weren't able to protect the basket, if a defender got beat on a drive to the basket. And so far our recruiting hasn't solved the problem, though I have faith TA will do just that. In retrospect, the loss of the Dartmouth transfer was a big one.

Sweep this weekend and we are right back in the hunt for a top spot. Goal has to be to win both of these games, can’t settle for less!

A big, beefy dude is no fit for this system, or Sunday would still be here.

Sunday had the size, but not the quickness for TA's system. I was thinking along the lines of Nelly.

Looking forward to Jacob Hogarth becoming a Gael, and hope that he gets s little stronger. Don't think we should expect too much in his freshman year, but by his sophomore year, he should be one of the best bigs in the MAAC. So, a JUCO or two makes a lot of sense.

FF's bigs, Smith and Seck are averaging about a combined 12 and 7. And their announcers said that the Seton Hall transfer, Alexis Yetna, is close to making his FF debut this weekend, either Friday or Sunday. So, I'm asking sharkey and 86, how does Yetna compare to Smith and Seck?

Already has the footwork down low and knows how to get in position
