A very wise man once told me when an ex-wife talks about the endowment difference between her ex-husband and her new boyfriend or husband, add 4 inches to what she is claiming about her ex and deduct 3 inches from what she is claiming about the new man. He also gave advice on people talking about their number of sexual partners. He said to divide by 4 for any mans claims and multiply by 3 for what a woman is claiming. LOl WOW, this went sideways quickly Peyronie's disease.

i wanted to take this off a recruits thread. Guy , i agree Reaves is the alpha, but we are more well prepared this year. Patterson and Nyje are more prepared to step into that role than anyone last year. last years team had no one that was ever"the guy" on their previous team

Agree. Last year the effectiveness of our O was basically determined on whether Panzo was making 3s. This team should not be reliant on any one player's shooting ability. Further, we should be able to have scoring on the low post, which impacts how our guards are defended.

No idea how this turns out, but this has much more potential than last years team from the get-go.

We like to make fun of Joebird for always expecting the worse. Unfortunately, he's a serious person and makes serious points. With that in mind I want to take a look at some of our players, specifically our great group of guards.
We have two experienced guys, Reaves and Winborne, who seem to be talented lead/point/primary ball handlers. And three VG frosh, Wallace, Njie, and Menard, who I think will play off the ball. A coaches goal is to win but at the same time develop his players. Last year, TA refrained from giving the young guys PT, and that probably contributed to guys leaving. The other side of that is with added PT the freshmen will put up better numbers, and thus become targets for the bigger boys. Njie was a big breakthrough into the Hayes program and as a local guy he might be influenced to stay because his family can easily come to our games. The easy answer is you play your best guys, but I think coaches have to be more focused on keeping players happy.
Was it from The King and I, or a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, "It is a puzzlement."
P.S. And now back to the Draft,

Why is it unfortunate that Joebird is a serious person?
