A Brief Word from the Oldtimer

Hi...I'm still alive!? I am looking forward to the season. I am also familiarizing myself again with the computer and it's operation. In the eight months that I have been without it's use I have gotten quiet rusty and I needed oil even when I was in good shape. I am, despite my limited mobility, looking forward to the season and viewing and listening to the games. I hope there is room in the gym for a wheelchair and one old grouchy fan.

My health is improving and there has been considerable progress recently, but its been a long, tough road. I've been practicing walking with a walker and can manage going from room to room with some help. Its been a slow recovery, but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I know I will never jitterbug again, but I expect to be able to get around in a slow manner soon. And for any of you doubters, I haven't lost any of my basketball edge and am looking forward to a big season.

Hope to get down to Iona for some pratice sessions. They will take me out of the house and away from my wife as we have spent more time together in the past eight months then we have spent in 58 years of marriage. I expect to be commenting much more frequently and resume my opinonated postings.
