Just showed Iona highlights at halftime on ESPN. Tonight was scary for a bit, looked like disastrous loss was possible.
Still upset at Maac and ESPN, they made mistake not picking Iona for ESPN2 wildcard, they are a fun team to watch.

Outstanding game for Momo, Scott & the rest of the Gaels. Would like to have seen him take down McCaffrey's MAAC record but that that was still an amazing performance. This team has a lot of weapons and when they are all confident there seems to be no limit to what they can accomplish as a group.
Very happy with the win but we need to hit our free throws and we still need to defend the three better. Manhattan game is going to be a zoo. I hope the students get there and provide the Gaels with some solid support. In the early 80's we had lots of students packing themselves in to cars to get to these short away games.

Momo was fantastic from the bit I saw. I made it to the game in the second half.
I must say I am a little disappointed in the student section. Only a few really seem to be into the game. They witnessed a helluva performance tonight but seemed to not really appreciate its significance. I wonder if the student population realizes that 1) The 2011-12 team is pretty special and 2) This doesn't happen every year

Momo is going to go off tonight That's one hell of a call, even though you undid it by betting on us to cover.

On the MAAC board I remarked that I hope we didn't buzzsaw Canisius tonight, because then we wouldn't be sharp for Manhattan--I wanted to "save the sharp game" for the Jaspers.
I don't know if we'll blow them out as Tau says, but I feel good about going there and winning.
I'm heading to Tampa for the weekend--will be following the game on my phone most likely. Here's hoping I don't have to have 100 beers to get over a sweep.

Does anyone have a link to highlights from last night's game? I don't have access to ESPN3. :-(

Does anyone have a link to highlights from last night's game? I don't have access to ESPN3. :-( My computer overheated and I missed the whole second half. Had to listen. Laptops!

MoMo stepped up and Scott had a very smart game from a standpoint as a floor general. Some nights the FT's won't fall. Forget it. Some nights Mariano blows a save. He's on the hill the next night getting it done. Over 600 saves.

I know this a heresy on this Board, but I loved last night's game. Yeah, we had a few Ole's on D, and we allowed Bellardo to get a little full of himself. But, in the fourth quarter, the ball got a little heavy for him and the swishers became clunkers.
Damn, we are at our best when we run. Hurry up, play a little D so that we can get back on offense, and hoop it up in 3 seconds. You other guys have some fun too and run with us. God bless you, if you can stay with us. Sooner or later, you take 30 seconds off; and you are 10 points in the hole. Now those 3's that were fun all game, have to be made. OOPS!
Nobody has been able to run with this team all year - not Purdue, not Maryland, NOBODY! We only get in trouble when we pull our own plug.
Damn it, run those bastards out of the gym boys! ;D

It's Arizona coach Sean Miller being quoted "this team misses Momo, especially in late game situations"
