Toto, I don't think we're going to average 66 points any more.

This is great news, however a kid like this always makes me skeptical. He could start classes and never make it do game one, or decide he doesn't like school and not return after the first semester.
Basically this is the beginning of what may be a huge pick up, him making it here for a full 2 years would be outstanding! 2011 and or 2012 could be the year we finally get another NCAA win.

Agree. I've heard many things (not from Iona people) suggesting that Glover's grown up some now, but time will tell. He will have the support system at Iona to succeed, but he still has to do the work.

Joebird Tend to agree with you here, it's a long time between now and November, heres's hoping we see him in uniform. I do think he'll have a positive impact "if" he suits up, but you have to admitt his track record indicates it's a big 'if".

Many others would have given up after going through what he has gone through. Let's just hope it works out for him. And if it works for him it works for Iona.

My fear is the same. That's why I think Iona is being cautious about making an official announcement. From what I am hearing he is ours, I just think we want to to make sure all the politics are in order, given his history.

For his sake, I hope he truly has a chance to meet the academic standards. Jamie does a great job with that aspect of the athletic dept, but I truly hope that Mike has a real opportunity to succeed.

While we are all waiting with great anticipation as to Glover........
If McGill is gone, (I hope not, as he would be the perfect player to fill the team) and Glover comes, it will leave us at this point with 12 men. It is a well balanced squad with several players able to play and fill several positions...
Will the Staff......Leave it at that, and save the scholarship when the pickings will be much better.? Fill it with whats left.? Or is there another surprise in store?
We are no longer young....2 Seniors....3 Jrs......3 Soph.....2 Freshmen, and 2 other who are new Jrs .but have considerable playing experience......In addition, Smyth has been with the program for 2 years.....
I see the biggest potential for the teams (experience) improvement with the Sophs.. Pelcher....McFadden..... Smyth....
The wall can no longer be an excuse, and it is a very nice position for a new coach to be in.
Go Gaels!!!!!!!
