also I thought it funny that they referred to Jayon as "Not exactly the high major player recruit we were told he was..."
I remember how happy they were when he gave them a verbal..... guess he sucks now.

Welcome Jayon; this young man sounds like the real deal.

Many years of losing has made most of them frustrated & bitter. Welcome aboard Mr. James! Here is to seeing you make these sad Rams fans eat their words.

Gotta believe that Armand & Glover signing with Clues influenced the James decision.
Now, I'd like to see the ooc schedule beefed up (if still possible) because it doesn't provide any cushion for a mis-step, which we all know can easily happen against any conference foe.

Couple comments:
1. Too early to anoint this group with ANYTHING just yet.
2. I agree with Epatrick, I'm pretty sure we're out of ships now. But my mind is too fried to do the math to confirm.
3. The OOC is pretty much done, Cjb, too late to make it tougher. So let's just go out and win 25 games.

What were the kids stats?

What were the kids stats? Roughly speaking, 6 pts, 4 rebs 5 asts per game. May not look like much until you realize that A) he's playing in one of the toughest leagues in the country, and B) he's playing with like 4 high major players in the lineup.

From what I read, he was the 6th. man coming off the bench on that team... more of a "point forward" playmaker type than scorer.
Hell, he must have some incredible ability to be rated a 90 on espn without posting lofty scoring numbers.

Just watched the You tube video, he reminds me a little of Tariq Kirksay.

Adam Zagoria (Zagsblog, see above), describes Iona's incoming class (Jayon, Mike, Sean, Randy and Alex) as loaded.

Is Glover qualified? Seems to me he's the key to a once a decade team or just a strong contender.

Glover is qualified, the issue stems from getting his transcript from Seton Hall.

Glover is qualified, the issue stems from getting his transcript from Seton Hall. I am not an attorney, but I would think that Seton Hall is on very shaky ground in with-holding Glover's transcript. To me, it smacks of with-holding someone's paycheck because they owe you money. In most states, you have to pay the wages and seek recourse elsewhere. I would be interested in hearing from Z or someone with a legal background.

Whatever the holdup, it's between SHU and Glover... nothing to do with Iona. However, you would think since it is Iona who Glover committed to, SHU would do the right thing and accomodate the kid... afterall, Iona granted them access to Willard. Sounds like a job for Clemenza.
