That we have a MAAC Top Five. We all get to rate the top five teams in the League, from one to five. First place is worth five points down to one for fifth place. We vote as follows: 1. Prior to the season (which starts tomorrow) 2. Prior to the end of 2013, or before the full season starts. 3. Then, each Monday of the season. Someone who is computer literate, thus leaving me and OT out, will tally the votes and come up with the Iona Pro Board poll
PRIOR TO THE SEASON: IC59 1. Iona (5) 2. Manhattan (4) 3. Quinny (3) 4. Canisius (2) 5. Rider (1)

I used to like seeing the Army cadets at Mulchahy, but #3 is a reach.

I'm glad that I have about two weeks to vote, before the January 1st deadline. But as of right now, based on their 8-2 record and convincing 86-68 win on the road against a BCS team (even one with a losing record), Manhattan is looking like the #1 MAAC team. Alvarado is playing very well, and Beamon has been very consistent. Even Pankney is improving as he played 25 minutes before fouling out, scoring nine points.

The Gamecocks are very similar last years Georgia and Wake teams.

Jaspers look like they're coming together nicely. Shaping up to be a fun conference season and definitely a crazy two games when we play them.
