Well the Journal News didn't disappoint, as I didn't see an article on either the Women's 17 game (record tying) winning streak. Though they did mention that Ursuline has won nine straight. And no pre-game writeup. No surprise there. If the Journal News sends a writer to cover the game, he or she should be made to sit behind the other media members. Treat them the way they treat us. JMO.

Oh I'm dead serious and I hope others are too. We can complain and complain about Hines and now we have the beginning of a plan. But nothing comes of it unless there is money to execute it. Everyone needs to step up to the best they can and do our part.
Place should be called the SID Center.

Thanks 05. A very good article, and was surprised to read that Manhattan will have Brian Urlacher as a guest. I guess that is an attempt by Steve Masiello to reinforce his mantra that Manhattan is a defensive team

ctbill, way to go. But I have to disagree with you about Hines. I think that few of us complain, and recognize that he's just a freshman, and will dominate in time.

I guess you're right but if we raise enough $$$ for the science center we can do some experiments to get the kid to 8 feet tall and ambidextrous with super vision.

Nyre is kicking off the campaign nationally this month with stops around the country. Two are being conducted in Florida in 2 weeks. Outreach will be significant since this will be a multi-phased campaign. Some of the funding will be from matching grants from corporations/foundations based on the level of individual donations made. I would consider waiting a bit until the formal requests for contributions are made so that the donation component of the campaign is as significant as possible. Some of us here were involved with the campaign to build Mulcahey in the 70s. (Most of us were not earning much then and were terrified of making the multi-year pledge.) The college has traditionally ridden a few horses in their previous campaigns. This one needs to have the broadest participation possible. I do hope everyone here looks at this campaign as an opportunity to play a role in advancing the overall program for the benefit of future students as well as enhancing the image and quality of the athletics program. Multi-year pledges will need to be significant. We have a young, enthusiastic president and director of athletics who have a tremendous vision for the future of the college. We need to support them.

Those last three posts were excellent, albeit for different reasons.

Back to the Game, I think Manhattan has more motivation for tonight and because of that it is extremely important for the Iona students to makes Hynes loud an give the Gaels a big home court advantage that we need, without that advantage I see the Jaspers winning. Important for Iona fans to make noise- place needs to be rocking!

Let's come out Fast and Furious. Aggressive on both ends with smaller lineup. We will need that great ball movement of late coupled hitting some outside shots to space the floor. As I have said repeatedly make them guard us and attack the rim when we can. No motivation needed for either team tonight. Crank it up and let's have a party at Manhattan's expense.
