Rider knows us from 2 previous games, NCAA teams don't.

so does that mean we don't know them, and can now figure out how to break their trap? you worry a lot, do you not cross the street because a car might hit you?

Protect the ball against Rider's press, and have players other than AJ bring the ball up against pressure, and we'll be fine against Rider Hopefully AJ learns from last game. Try not to dribble into the trap, you know its there and coming. Reverse the ball back to your safety valve trailing on the other side, get the ball into the middle or up the sideline with a pass a attack from there. Simple basketball if you do the following before the trap can be established.

Agreed. But we have other players that can bring the ball up against pressure, no reason to place that burden on AJ. His work load is high enough as it is.

This is only the 2nd time ever that our first round opponent in the MAAC tourney was the same team that we played in the reg season finale. The outcome the other time it happened? Wins over Siena in both contests (04-05 season). Off the ledge everyone!

I think we are going to win, but know we could lose, it's not really any extra worrying than most have.
My feeling on an NCAA game is Cluess is ready to out coach his opponent and has a team that he can really use to his advantage.

No line as yet.....IMO we will be a 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 point favorite.
We should assert our superior assists right from the get-go...At no time should we go into a slow down mood and allow them to regain a confidence mood...At no time should we endanger the teams continuity by going into any clock management game...The game plan should be destroy any thoughts of victory they might have...
In prior games against them, we have allowed good leads get away simply because we tried to ''Milk the clock''......Let them watch the clock in a ''warm up the bus'' mood.......

"Take no prisoners!" "No mercy!" Should be the mindset. Be like young Mike Tyson just walk out there and put them down with no hesitation. Never let up. First 5 minutes of both halves are key. We need high energy for rebounding, defense and 50-50 balls. Looking forward to seeing who "steps it up" for us tomorrow. Gotta love this time of year. Opportunities are there for every team. Hopefully we are the team that seizes them. GO GAELS!
