Prediction: Iona 77 Canisius 74 This could be the nut cutter! Baron can have his 20pts, 5 rbs, 5 assists. Have to avoid a "monster" game from him. Need DL to out rebound Manhertz. Perez is an excellent shooter and we need to have a hand in his face. Should be close throughout but I truly feel Iona wins based on our team having a few more offensive weapons. Go Gaels! Take this guy to Vegas! One of the best games (any sports) that I have ever watched. Both teams were terrific and it's really a treat to watch a game with minimal turnovers. Pretty cool that we were able to pull out the win with DL scoring 4pts. Good call! My heart can't take much more than that. What a nail biter. The guys at the game must have gone crazy. 05, good luck summarizing this one. Great win to get to finals!

WOW! I am glad I had my nitroglycerin handy. When Barron went on his string of drives I couldn't believe that he was never called for a push-off that he committed - I saw 2 he pushed off on AJ. DLIII's only field goal was huge. Tre Bowman had ice water in his veins making the 1-1 with :5.9 left. Also, the scramble he made for the ball off an AJ 3 miss at about the 5:30 mark and getting the ball to Sean for a 3 was an amazing play.
05, you need to start the MAAC Final Game Thread.
I love this team. Defend that Championship, Iona.
Go Gaels!!!

I'm thinking Quinny-Manhattan will be a war. Let's hope they beat eachother senseless.

AJ, keep taking the open 3. You're too good a shooter for this slump to continue. Don't press - its just like a regular season game.

Gaels open a 4.5 point favorite Prediction: Iona 77 Canisius 74 This could be the nut cutter! Excellent prediction, Java. You had the right margin of victory, only off by one basket per team.

I know all points are equal in the scorebook, but Tre's points seem to have come when it could have gone away for us..my vote for MVP is Tre!

Sean's FT's were good also. Made the first, the second was half way down and some how rimmed out. Laury with a clutch put back. Let it fly tomorrow guys!!! Also, loved that AJ attacked the rim on that possession tied 70-70. Didn't fall but Dave got the rebound. Let's go!!

Scored 48 in 1st half and 27 in 2nd. Give the Griffs credit. Gritty bunch and they had the refs in their pocket too. But our guys were grittier!
