Someone should let Bebis know that the Greek Orthodox Church at the end (beginning?) of North Avenue has a Greek Festival every year. It usually takes place the weekend after Labor Day, and it's a chance for him to get some 'good' Greek food. My wife and I go every year and bring home dinner. I'll be on the lookout for a tall kid.

This is always a funny thing people do. It's like bringing your friends from China to the local chinese restaurant. I would think he might want to find some good mexican food or maybe a burger.

I feel Coach Cluess' statements reveal his confidence that they will score no matter what defense is thrown at them. Expecting a lot of baskets from attacking the rim due to spacing created by the threat of the 3. If Kelvin Amayo is healthy this team will be very difficult to defend. Also, expecting Hines, Robinson and Dublin to give us some physicality that we lacked on the front line last year. This should allow David Laury to really shine by freeing him to be aggressive on the offensive end. With the near misses on adding late recruits to this year's roster is it a sign that we are good to go with the group we have? I think so. Pray for good health though for our core. Looking forward to seeing this group on the floor and what they can do. Each year under Coach Cluess has been exciting and each team has had their own unique personality with good leadership. He has shown he can motivate and develop talent. Waiting to see who steps up this year and leads the team by example. GO GAELS!

My son is coming in for a computer teaching lesson that will allow me methods of transferring sites for viewing directly, but until then visit USA TODAY'S college poll site, NO. 54 IONA and then view picture of A.J...The transformation in his shoulder and body build up will amaze you...He will be a handful to handle while on his way to a tremendous year....

ctbill, I'm guessing that the roster cannot be released until all new players are enrolled in school. And from what I've read that means only Muhammed is in question, although he might already be on campus. But unless there is a surprise, we'll go into the season with a 12 man roster (11 eligible). If there is a surprise, or the possibility of a surprise, we will have to wait until he gets to New Ro. And while school starts Monday/Tuesday, there is also Late Registration. So no news might be good news.

Any updates on the injury status of both Robinson and Amayo and will they be ready by the start of the season? with 11 eligible players their being able to practice and play at the start of the season is vital, as both should be part of the rotation

It feels fine, but is not completely healed, and this has deceived many others...Further he expects to be ready for some action shortly after season starts... Amayo.....All conversations lead one to believe he is a fine player, but he has played very, very little the past 2 years, and remains a wait and see mystery.... The competition for the in question open forward position will be fierce with 2-3 players in the fray...I was impressed with the play of Hines...It seems he has rid himself of Alaska player hesitation and is ready to take a active team role...He is much more agile, and has developed a impressive outside shot...

You guys have to be getting a little squirmy knowing that classes are about to start and Grasso still hasn't brought in his trademark last second ineligible JUCO mercenary that no other school would dare contact.
This can't be the roster you're really going with, right?

No. We have enough now to win the league by 3 games.
Muhammad should be on campus tomorrow, if he isn't already there.
