In my mind the game should not have gone down to the last second basket. We had the lead at the 4:19 mark when AJ (I believe) was called for a five second violation in not advancing the ball. Looked like a good call to me. My problem was that the play occurred right in front of the Iona bench, with ALL the Iona coaches sitting on their hands, And the worst part was that we had four (I believe) TO's remaining. At the 30.9 second mark a similar situation developed, and this time the bench called a TO. But imo the tide turned at the 4:19 mark. It reminded me of the BYU game when an Iona player was tied up (during BYU's comeback) and we didn't call a bench TO. I must be getting too old.

java, maybe so. But why wasn't a TO called? And not for nothing, but I think the refs called a pretty good game.

59...that was IW that was called for the 5 second violation. I actually thought that was a bad call by the refs as it didn't seem like 5 seconds really passed, and they usually give the benefit of the doubt to the offense on that one. Can't blame the coaches for not calling a TO in that spot.

Looked the the ref started the 5 second count quickly, as it appeared the defender was still a few feet away from IW

Actually, like the Manhattan game, that Armand airball on the 3 (was he fouled or hit???) was huge I thought.

Agree with ic59, IW was clearly stranded like a deer in the headlights right in front of the bench, thought the staff dropped the ball not helping him out in that spot.

I agree that someone from the bench needs to help Isaiah there and call the time out, its another example of not executing at he end of a tight game.

Super, were you at the game? And if so, were there any other Iona fans?

Armand airball was play of the game, can't afford to do something like that at that time of the game.
