Poole's injury is minor.
GUY Near the end of Sept. Poole injured his ankle...He has not practiced since... Recent postings are not so optimistic. Some thought provoking comments... Losing Poole is huge... Siena's offense losses a 1,000 point scorer... Poole is a big loss, no question... Starting season team post do not include his name.... I Hope for Siena and Poole' sake that your info is correct...I have never wished bad fortune to a team to gain a advantage...

You are very feisty today!
Guy GUY Feisty.......Can mean either Lively or Quarrelsome...... If you intended Lively I'll agree...Not bad for an old man in a wheel chair... If you intended Quarrelsome I'll disagree.....I have just read all of my posts on this subject...I found none that had even a 'Smattering' of anything resembling or fitting the word...I am sure anybody giving them a fair reading would either... They were however not as you expected them to be ''Condescending''...That is not my nature, and to late in life even if I would to change... I'll be reading the Siena board Monday night to see if he Poole participated in practice...If he did I will be glad...If he does not, I am sure this site will receive additional postings....

Well, you went off on our SID because he does not have the time to monitor this board 24/7.
As for Poole, here's an update from their beat writer, off his Twitter:
RT @marksingelais: Siena G Rob Poole sat out Thursday's workout with a bad ankle, but is expected to practice when it officially begins on Monday. #sienasaints

Well, you went off on our SID because he does not have the time to monitor this board 24/7.GUY A most self serving post....I know he is 'OUR' Sid... You have a habit of reading and then interpreting as you want them to be, but not as they really are....For instance your quote. ''Well, you went off on our Sid'' These are a couple of quotes from my past posts... ''As Sports information Director we plea for your help...Thanks for your attention both past and hopefully in the future'' ''Sid has always been most attentive to my questions and needs...I infer no reflection or blame on him.'' Do they really sound as if I went off on our SID? I now call a truce...If you can, I hope you will consider doing the same....

Self serving? Your post in the SID thread said his non-reply "smacks of arrogance". I know probably better than most out here how Brian spends his days, and lets just say replying on this board to questions that really have nothing to do with him is not in his job description. Self serving? I'm still trying to figure that one out, as my post had NOTHING to do with me.

Poole is fine...those comments were discussing replacing him NEXT year after he graduates.
I get a chuckle out of these predictions. But hey everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Siena's board has a series of postings about open practice held yesterday...Performances were discussed ref. to all who participated.
There was no mention of Poole..........There was also no mention of him even being there which is telling since he is their most valuable player........... It appears to be a problem that falls into ''I don't even want to think or talk about it'' category....
Regardless of MTS misleading feeble attempts designed for gullible and accepting fans I still wish Poole a quick recovery and return....
The mystery continues...........

CBS Sports staff picks conferences champions for up coming season www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24744015/-15-college-basketball-conference-champion-predictions . Most picked Iona as champion with two picking Siena, including Doug Gottlieb. Not sure what Gottlieb sees in Siena other than he has weighted his choice based upon the MAAC Tournament being in Albany. Hoping Quinnipiac, St. Peters and Manhattan are feeling slighted and take out frustration on Siena being the "favorite child". It appears Coach Patsos knew he was in trouble with their post-season wins last spring leading to unreasonably high expectations and as a result he had to grab soft OOC games to get wins to keep the faithful happy.

Even if you have a VG team the one and done conf. tournament is a crap shoot. I think the favorite has something like a whopping 35% chance to win the whole thing. It was better when the conf. had the double bye. Having the thing on your home floor in front of your fans is a big advantage. IMO even if Siena finishes 4th, its their tourney to lose.

Husker, Gottlieb was "on" Siena from the time that Fran McCaffrey was coach. Fran, as an assistant, helped recruit Gotlieb to Notre Dame. Of course, due to his being arrested (I believe) he left ND and transferred to Oklahoma State. And while I don't know what he did at Oklahoma State, but he was never caught or charged with anything. To paraphrase OT, a leopard doesn't change his spots.

Interesting that 4 of our opponents also received votes: Siena ( ), Wofford , Drexel, & FGCU (unanimous).

If Iona is better than Siena, Iona will win. [/quote Greg....If I learned one thing over the years........ Although IMO Iona is the better team, the better team does not always win ...Especially up in Pepsi.. Almost another week has gone by with no word or information as to Poole...If he has any playing time injury, Siena drops at best to a middle of the pack MAAC team...
