SJU, would seem like a good job for TC, when you consider the travel. And for the same reason, Seton Hall doesn't. I, for one, am not worrying about it. I think he stays, I hope he stays, but if he doesn't, he doesn't. Enjoy the TC era more and worry less. +1. We don't know what he is thinking, but what you posted seems to make sense if he doesn't want to move his family.

We have two threads speculating where Cluess will end up without any indication a move is even on the table. Pointless discussion, imo.
As for Casimir he doesn't have to be Iona's all time leading scorer. I'd be happier I think if he learns to create more for his teammates. I don't get the sense he is a selfish player, just one who's focused so far more on scoring than creating opportunities for others. Not sure what the ceiling is for a 5'10 2 guard. We had one in JJ. Although he was a great player for us, he wasn't our all time leading scorer. As for now Casimir has to be enough of a threat that teams can't double AJ all game long.

Eventually think Casimir will blossom into our PG. Right now he is still learning the system and far too valuable to leave on the bench, hence the reason he is playing the 2. Believe this will change in time as he gets more acclimated and the staff trusts him enough to run the offense.

I agree, it's only been 1 game so it's hard to ordain this kid anything, but he showed a lot of potential in that 1game.

For the old timers, wondering what your impressions are of Casimir compared to other Iona greats at this stage of their careers when they were freshmen? He doesn't come with the hype of All-American status like Springer, Ruland, etc. but gotta imagine his first five games have been equally as impressionable as theirs?

I was actually asking myself the exact same thing at the game last night. Who can I compare this kid to as a freshman?
My answer was Gary Springer (Sr). Not as a physical comparison of course, but for his ability to seemingly score at will.
Alvin Lott is another player that comes to mind moreso because of his size and ability to shoot the trey.

Different eras and different coaching styles. Horses for courses, and CC is more of a combo guard. But whatever he is, he's good at it. Rory, Marvin, John McDonald and Scott were pure PG's. I guess CC most compares to SB, Jr. who played with Marvin as the PG and Stevie was a combo guard, also. At least that is how I see it. And I should add MoMo, another combo guard who was stronger and more athletic and Alvin Lott, who might be the closest to CC in size and game.

Some guy on the Siena board posted ''Some freshman on Iona scored 40 points against Delaware State...Does any body know who the hell he is''...This along with the news of our recent great acquisition is driving them completely nuts with envy...

Iona may have four first-team All-MAAC players.
Unfortunately, those are the only players we have.
