Why the Dayton Flyers you ask? They lost their two big men and are playing no one taller than 6'6". Archie Miller needs to transform that team on the fly and they have been forced to go small in the A-10. They will be playing a style similar if not identical to ours, I think and it'll be interesting to see how that style does in the A-10. Last night they pummeled St. Bonaventure, shooting 58% from 3. Don't know how many threes they took. Tomorrow they play at Fordham. I think I'm adopting them for the rest of the season, whether they want me or not. Go Flyers, GOOOO!!!!! Definitely going to follow their progress.

Noticed this also. taking a quick look at their stats. for the season they average 70 points per game and 36% from three. The interesting thing is, it looks since going small the last 5 games they average 78 points per game and have shot 55-111 from 3 point land, a 47% pct. Will be interesting to see how it plays out the rest of the season

BTW someone should get a tape of their games and see what they do on the defensive end as they go small and speed up. I feel like Charles Darwin, boys, and someone just showed me an iguana that can swim!!! Real life experiment going on right in front of our eyes

More uncontested 3's in transition. Be still my heart - this is beautiful

Been a Flyer fan for a long time. If Archie makes another run in the NCAA's this will probably be his last year.

I remember him being real small Seamed like a cool kid. His brother Sean was a camp legend, kind of like a side show. He could dribble 10 balls at the same time

Dayton beat Fordham tonight by like 18 pts. No player over 6'6". Fordham has some size. Don't know how many possessions Dayton had, but they don't play as fast as we do. And they play active defense. So far this team is more balanced than we are, and is winning games in the A-10 playing very small. This is a relatively small sample though as they are shooting 3's at a very high clip. One guy is literally 17 for his last 19 from 3. 17-19. That's silly. Let's see if they can sustain this and keep winning.

Fordham knew what it had to do - pound it inside. They just didn't execute. Let's see if Dayton can sustain this as they play better teams with size.
