No, Guy and ctbill, they are going to be good next year. For the first time in a long, long time. I know it is hard to believe but they really do have great parts. Now if they can hire a really good coach, look out. The other A-10 coaches have been raving about their talent all year, so they ought to be able to find a good replacement. The Freshman are really good and have loads of potential. They have Canty coming back next year. There's Mandell Thomas and Ryan Rhoomes and a good coach may be able to get Jon Severe to play unselfishly. There's Antoine Anderson and Manny Suarez, and DBA. They have a lot of talent. Paschall just turned 18, and all he needs to do is just shed some baby fat and improve his strength and conditioning. Sengfelder has a great attitude and is a hard worker and should continue to improve. They were so much better down the stretch and if EP didn't get hurt they would have won even more towards the end. Heck, I may even be a Fordham fan next year. HA! Did Rambacker hack your account? Very impressive Guy! Now one question: Is ctbill, conngael?

Not to sure you will see many, if any, Fordham players leave the program. being realistic after looking at their roster, the one player that interests me is Ryan Canty. If healthy I think he would be a good fit for Iona next season, and what the team needs. have seen him play and he plays really hard and with a lot of emotion. the last 2 years he played he averaged 6.5 rebounds a game in only about 17 minutes a game. pretty good numbers in the A-10. While he only averaged 4ppg, he did shoot 54%, and I would think he would score a few more points a game in TC'S system just because of more possessions and offensive rebounds. He would also be a 5th year SR., so eligible right away. He's mostly a put back, dunk off the pass type of guy. Not much offensive game. High energy and good rebounder if he is healthy. They have a kid coming in named Bunting who I think we offered. New England Prep kid - big and athletic I believe. Bunting is considered a really good recruit. I guess it remains to be seen if he stays committed to Fordham after they get a new coach. Agree on your opinion of Canty's game. Iona will have plenty of scoring next season, just think a player like Canty is a need next season. I also like the high energy part of his game. For some reason, quite a few times this year the team came out flat without much energy. In fact I recall Bebis came in a couple of times and helped the team get going just on his energy alone.

Easy for me to say yes, but it's TC'S job on the line concerning scholarships not mine, so I can understand the staff not taking a chance, especially with only 2 remaining. Just hope TC can recruit a JUCO or 5th year senior who can fill the tough guy role. the team at times was too soft down low. DL had a great season, but had to play cautious at times to stay away from fouls since he was pretty much by himself down low. I believe he could have been even better with a tough guy to help protect the rim and grab rebounds. This team really needs Hines and Robinson to really develop this off season. Guess I am just venting, watching the NCAA tourney games today. looking at the MM teams so far that have played, they all seem to have that "glue guy" that does a lot of the dirty work. Though I have to agree with some that Dublin may have been that guy, but for whatever reason TC didn't think so.

He exhibited zero offensive game at Fordham and a low basketball IQ most of the time, with a tendency toward stupid fouls at the worst time. But he can rebound and block shots, and would not be expected to do anything more under Cluess. Maybe he wants to find out what it is like playing for a winning program? His back scares me though.

I'm going to hold everyone to their predictions for Fordham. ctbill, just having Canty back will be a big addition, he won't have to improve. All this team needs is a facilitator. A good coach will help with that. A good coach will help with everything. And .500 in the A-10 might just get you in the NIT, which means something since the vast majority of teams don't get in. Only 100 teams get in the NCAA or the NIT, so it is a real achievement and much better then what Fordham has seen recently. I don't think anyone here really cares about Fordham except as a potential source of transfers. If they rise from the dead as a program, good for them. I'll believe it when I see it.

Fordham AD Dave Roach was interviewed on WFUV today, says Fordham wants to get back to scheduling locals again ( mentioned Iona); if I was Iona, I'd tell them when they call me to get three years straight of an RPI of 150 or better, or go fondle yourself!!! JMO.

Andy Toole (Robert Morris), imo, is a vg young coach. He'd be a good get for Fordham.

Fordham has lots going for it. A major step above Iona from an academic standpoint and facilities standpoint.
There only issue is they have not found a proper league to play in. I suggest something slightly better than the Maac which is a complete joke. Maybe form their own Metro league with Hofstra, Seton Hall and a few other credible mid major institutions with high level academic performance.

In the wrong conference with the facilities as they are, but a fine school. Hoopy why the self-loathing? Things will turn around. We're all disappointed by the end of the season.

I think Fordham gets a bad wrap here and is bashed often. From an academic standpoint it's clearly a superior institution than Iona as is St. Johns. With the right coach Fordham has a great opportunity ahead.

Fordham will get what it deserves. Until there is a major re-evaluation of what their long-term goals are for the basketball program Fordham will have a hard time attracting a high profile coach and having consistent success. Maybe they belong in the A-10 or the Patriot League is a better fit. The long-term lack of success should be an indicator that their current philosophy has not worked. In my opinion just changing the Head Coach will not dramatically turn the program around, because they will not hire that type of individual who would like to use transfers and JUCO's to jump start the rebuild. If they by some miracle find a dynamic young coach who turns the program I bet he is gone with the first opportunity to move up. Fordham needs to define what their goals are and then determine how they accomplish those goals, then search for a Head Coach. Until then Andy Toole, Bobby Hurley (No Way), Kyle Smith and Will Brown should stay far away.
