Looking at the writeup on North Florida and see the name, Beau Breech. I believe his father is the HC and Beau attended MTG a few years back. He was about 6'5 when he visited, but has grown to 6'8.

]Manhattan over Monmouth? Who wrote the MAAC's analysis?[/quote] 1C59 59....The same poll(Blue Ribbon) that picked my selection for Numer 2 finisher (Canisius) in the number 7th spot... I don't pay much attention to them except for the curiosity value...and I am sure qualified pollsters do not look much further to knowledge available to us fans.......The fact that they all selected Iona No.1 indicates that we are clearly the class of the MAAC.....

Chris Mullin just hired Mitch Richmond as a Special Assistant, and his staff is approaching Steve Lavin numbers. NCAA has rules for the number of Assistant Coaches, but they are easy to get around. And they can help in recruiting. Now before someone tells me that they can't get directly involved, I'm sure Slice will tell a prospective recruit, "And you will be coached by former NBA stars, like our HC (perfectly legal) and Mitch Richmond (not so perfectly) who played the same position as you do". Am I off base here?

His name was mentioned by insiders as soon as Mullin was hired

tau, you make a good point about Ed Cooley. It only makes sense that coaches will say anything to get a recruiting advantage. My point was that the NCAA put in place rules to limit the number of coaches, and then allow schools to bypass the rules. And I know SJU is far from the only one who does it. NCAA should revisit or change the rule.

I followed North Florida because a son of a close friend was the back up point guard there as a freshman. Beau's dad is a high school coach not his college coach. Beau Beech is a good player. He shoots well and can handle the ball because he played guard before the growth spurt.
