Blunt to say the least, yet somewhat telling.

Blunt to say the least, yet somewhat telling. And to the point. That release indicates that the situation was appropriately handled.

This is speculation, but its not unreasonable. Its quite common in these situations that the embezzler has some addiction, substance abuse, gambling, living ridiculously beyond their means, etc., some "sink hole" where the money goes. Its a more common occurence than we realize in institutions, whether non or for profit. And when the embezzler is the person charged with monitoring the finances in-house, its usually pretty easy for them to circumvent controls. So far an incomplete, but troubling picture is emerging of Br. Ligouri's stewardship over the past ten years. This coupled with the allegations of racist remarks. I hope the College gets some competent administrators with some vision to run the school going forward to help the college reach its potential and be the place we know it can be, of which we can be proud.

Just my luck I had the wrong kind of nuns. The Ursulines only had one worldly possession: a (shudder) yard stick.
