Yes. Pitino completely rebuilt KY from near zero, went to the Celtics for a rebuild thinking he was going to get Tim Duncan, and completely rebuilt Louisville. If he had stayed at KY, he might have 10 nat championships. Seems extremely far-fetched, I know, but with those resources he would have been reloading every year. I know I'm butting in on your board, but I'm just excited for you guys. Good luck in the future. The first season will be iffy and maybe the second, but when you get players...wow.

Yea. I'm pretty sure Mickey Mantle might have been the greatest baseball player of all time had he not been hurt young. But none of this stuff happened.

Willie Mays went into the service for 2 years-greatest of all time.

Rob, I appreciate your perspective as well.
Iona has forever been one of those better than average mid majors programs who college hoops fans across the country recognize for 15 minutes each March. Iona fans like me look with envy at other Mid majors programs like VCU, George Mason, Valpo, etc, who have all had nice runs in the tourney and ask, “why can’t that be us?”
Hoping RP can be THAT GUY that can make the Gaels THAT TEAM. And if he does it at Iona, he’s also doing it in NY the biggest stage in the country and that would really be a wow!

Now this I can get 100% behind. It's been great so far I just hope we get a chance to see our team in action sooner rather than later!
Mounir Hima - 6'11" C out of St. Benedict's Prepl via France and Tillabéri, Niger. Plays AAU with SJ Hoops Elite and the NJ Roadrunners. Has a 7’8” wingspan. Blocks shots, rebounds, and cleans up around the rim with putbacks. He is raw offensively but has the physical skills to develop into a very good player.
Offers from UMASS, St Bonaventure, URI, VCu and RMU.
I wonder if the New Rochelle recruit Jayson McGhee is the son of former NRHS star Jimmy McGhee? I have no idea how good Jayson is but that would be a great pedigree.
