Djimon Bailey - 6'5" - CG out of Wilson, NC. 3★ recruit that recently de-committed from Wake. Had committed to Wake in the spring of his junior year so that reduced his recruitment. A 2X North Carolina 1-A All-State Team selection.
Offers from Wake, VCU, Rice, Princeton, Richmond, UNC Greensboro, BU, NC A&T, George Mason. Interest from ECU, Stanford, Campbell, Winthrop, UNC Charlotte, Kennesaw State, Liberty and Cleveland State.
Scouting Report: "The future Wake Forest Deamon Deacon helped Greenfield School win it all last season and came damn close again this season falling in the semi-finals to The Burlington School. Bailey has the size and skill set to be an effective player in the ACC at the point guard spot. His basketball IQ is there and his overall game should translate on the next stage. In his final game he dropped 22 points, had 9 assists and 8 rebounds to go along with two steals in the loss against a team that legitimately has four Division One recruits." -Justin Byerly- Hoop Seen - OP OVERALL PERFORMERS FROM THE NCISAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS PART II February 24, 2020
"Bailey is a prospect that continues to just do so many things well that college programs have to be intrigued with his versatility. He has great size at the lead guard spot and can play off the ball. The skill that puts him at the high-major level to me is his ability to attack the paint and make plays happen. Is strong in the half-court or in transition." - Justin Byerly-Hoop Seen - ADIDAS QUALIFIER SOUTHEAST REGIONAL: TOP PERFORMERS AND BREAKOUTS- April 16, 2019

Could this be the curse of “The University”? Hard to believe a recruit actually shows up when they don’t know the name of the school. The kid didn't call us university They might not know if it's a University or College but THEY do know Rick Pitino

Plays like a considerably taller Steve Burtt Sr. That's my takeaway, at least.

Jonah Antonio - 6'5" SG out of UNLV via Perth, Australia. He is a sharpshooter with a great range. When we announced the eight new recruits it looked like we were one over with 14 guys on the roster. Now on VC and also above it seems that we've offered a few more 2020 guys. Are some more leaving or not coming?

Are some more leaving or not coming? Obviously yes, that is the big news we are waiting on. From Pitino words and actions I think he wants to start over with his own group. Jelly is fighting an uphill battle due to his time playing for his son. I see so much potential in him, I’m hoping Pitino does to and is going to give him a chance, not sure what other options Washington really has. Jelly, Gist, Ross and Van Eyk are all players who can fit into Pitinos system but my gut says he is ready to move on with his own players, each of these guys will really have to impress if they are given the chance. I think each of them can play a big role next year but will they is another story. As for the commits, you have to wonder if the Covid situation and the delay in opening NY is going to cost us a recruit or 2, I think it’s likely at least one has a change of heart. For the 2021 recruits I love that now that Pitino has a stack of guys he feels have potential and are high level maac recruits that he can build on he is now shooting for the 4 star players to fill the roster. If he doesn’t get them he already has a nice team, if he does the prospects are even better. My guess is he lands a couple of these kids.

When the "kiddie" table is included I'll be sure to let you know.

The honest answer is we don't know just yet what's going to happen, and with whom. We did say when we first went one commit over the limit that that was considered "insurance" in the event someone did leave or not get it done academically (newbie or vet). Given the extra effort with the 2020s, perhaps they're looking for one more "insurance commit".

My own feeling is that one or more signed players won't be able to meet eligibility requirement because of the pandemic school closings. If so, the will be '21 athletes. Also some international players might not be able to return to U.S.
