Gabe Wiznitzer - 6'11" PF/C out of Salem, S.C., the Christ School (NC) and Game Elite AAU (Atlanta) - Plays for the same high school team as 5-Star current Iona recruit and former Scanlan CG Jalen LecQue. He also gets to go up against Brandon Stone, a 6'11" 3 Star C who has offers from Kansas State, South Carolina, Pitt, Houston, Penn State, and ST Joes amongst others. We are Wiznitzer's first offer. Is reported to be a skilled big who can stretch defenses with his outside shot.
"Gabe is a skilled big man with a lot potential. Just an eighth-grader, he showed the ability to contribute in gameplay versus players a year or two older than him. He has a high release on his finishes and his free throws. Adding a left-handed finish will help him score at a higher rate in the future. We have Gabe on our radar as an emerging prospect from the Palmetto State." - #EBATop40 Camp review - OTRHoopsReport - October 17, 2015
"This 6-foot-5 post has a big body with nice hands and soft touch around the rim. He rebounds well in space and finds open teammates off the double team Georgia United Stars." - OTRHoopsReport: MLK Tournament – January. 21, 2016
"We strongly feel Gabe could be the sleeper player on this absolutely talented team. We’re talking about a mobile power forward with tremendous shooting range. He has a delicate shooting touch from the perimeter and is a gifted passer as well." - Phenom’s High School Jamboree — Team Previews (Christ School) Oct 28, 2017
"It’s really hard to believe he’s only a freshman. While he will need to tone up his body moving forward, one thing is for certain; he has advanced offensive skill set. His ability to shoot the midrange and 3-pointer is high level. We were impressed with his workmanlike approach to the game. Gabe has passer friendly hands and doesn’t force shots. He has a nice understanding of the game and his basketball IQ is going to translate nicely at the next level." Phenom’s Open Gym Tour – Christ School (Arden, NC) Sep 15, 2017

Iván Aurrecoechea - 6'8" C from Madrid, Spain, Canarias Basketball Academy and Indian Hills Community College. Ivan played for the same academy as Jan Svandrkick and the same JUCo as Jan and JW. Averaging 12.7 ppg and 10.8. rpg. Good hands and great footwork. Tough big who uses his body well in the paint. Likes to get good position and toss down a dunk with authority. Would be a big help... especially off the offensive glass. He is not the typical Euro stretch 4... this kid is a true big. He starts ahead of former Iona commit Jamal Allen. Offers from New Mexico, New Mexico State, South Florida and Florida Atlantic. Confused. Is he 2021 or 2018?

According to Zagsblog, Seton Hall and Louisville are scouting Stepinac soph, Griffin (AJ?). He's been hurt most of the year, but had 43 points in his third game back. His brother is at Illinois. His teammate, RJ Davis, whom we offered, had a recent 41 point game.

Iona has offered a '21 PG, Luke Brown. I believe he's from Indiana, but know nothing about him. And when you're talking three years out, not sure it matters.

Luke Brown - 6'1" PG out of Blackford High School in Indiana. He is averaging 35.8 ppg this season, leading all Indiana high school players. He has a decent handle, is a great passser... in fact he is an elite passer and he has put up huge numbers while being double teamed and Box and 1 Defense most games. His performacnces actually overwhelmed the scoreboard. The schools scoreboard was wireless but somany people were coming to see and record this kids play that they had bandwith issues as everyone was using their cell phones taking pictures and video and posting to social media that the scorebord was not registering commands from the control board. He packs the local gym every game as the folks come from Indianapolis to see him play. The school has a positive cash flow of over $5K every home game due the attention this kid is drawing. This kid has some Maravich in him.
I think the BCS level schools think he does not have the handle and size to play the PG or Sg spots. While he is an elite scorer they are questioning his ability to defend against 6'5" PG's , so, they are waiting to see his develipment and physical maturity before they offer. Bottom like is this kid can score from anywhere and has one of the best court vision capabilities I can remember.
Luke played just 15 games after suffering a stress injury near his right ankle last season but was reported to have put the time to good use lifting weights and shooting. Coach Ricky Johns is his recruiter. He would be fun to watch.
We are his first offer but he has interest from Purdue,
a game:

Nice to know that Coach Johns is out recruiting. Yea, especially since he needs to make up for running off Roland.
