Rebekah Justice, who I was told had left the team, showed up and watched the game from the stands. Don't know if she's returning to the team.

Lady Gaels continue to struggle. Today, with seven players, they lost to Toledo, 84-38.

Well, have no idea how good or bad George Washington is, but Gaels come from behind to pull out a 52-43 victory for their first win of the year. So there's that.

greg, just got home from the game. And what a game it was. Iona, again playing with only seven players, fell behind, 26-15, at the end of the first quarter and trailed throughout. Until they didn't. Monica Barefield hit a jumper with 2:46 left to put Iona ahead, 44-43, and the Lady Gaels scored the final 10 points of the game. And the Women have something the Men's team doesn't, a 20 point scorer, as Morgan Rachu hit that number. I would say that 3/4 of the crowd were GWU fans, and they went home stunned. The Lady Gaels might be short on talent, but they have a giant heart and play hard. Congrats to the Ladies.

Two things of interest: 1. Starting center, Jodi-Marie Ramil (6'2) went out in the first half (I believe) with two fouls. She was replaced with 5'11 freshman, Gabrielle Joseph, who held her own against the GWU center ,Kayla Mokwuah, who is 6'4. And she held her own despite the height difference. 2. Tori Lesko was the difference in the game, despite only scoring two points. She played all 40 minutes, and was full court pressed throughout, and her ball handling kept the Lady Gaels close until their late spurt put the game away. Her nine rebounds gave a good indication of her hard work, and while just a red-shirt soph, she's the team captain.

I just hope that we're not overconfident when we play Kansas next Sunday.

Bad news/good news. We lost at Kansas, yesterday, 75-44. But we now have eight or ninw players available. We next play Central Michigan, at home, on Friday, November 30th at 7PM. Don't know anything about Central Michigan, but ask that you come to the game and support the Lady Gaels. They are not very talented, but they play with GREAT effort. Capt. Tori Lesko knows how to fill up a stat sheet, and might be the hardest working Iona player, Men's or Women's. She's fun to watch. Morgan Rachu is a legitimate double digit scorer who is improving as the season progresses. Their effort is to be admired. Of course they still make many unforced TO's which can be frustrating to watch, but they are improving, imo.

Freshman Mwai, though raw is also someone to watch. Believe she has a bright future.

Super, I don't understand your PG waiver post. Please explain. Thanks. Kansas game: Freshman Juana Camilion saw her first action of the season in this game and in the third quarter she recorded her first collegiate points of her career. The Palma de Mallorca, Spain native put in two layups, Camilion played 15 minutes in her first action of the 2018 campaign, scoring six points (3-4 FG) and an assist. She fouled out at the 2:58 mark of the fourth quarter.

This is the first year in recent memory that the Lady Gaels haven't announced any early signings. Wonder if it has anything to do with the recent roster turmoil?
