VCU gets robbed, losing by one to St. John's. Marcus Evans from VCU was clearly fouled shooting a three at the buzzer, but the ref didn't have the guts to call the foul. VCU will be a very tough game.

Quinnipiac (1-2) won 69-63 at New Hampshire. Jacob Rigoni led the Bobcats with 23 points.
Saint Peter's (1-3) lost 85-57 at NC State. Davauhnte Taylor led the Peacocks with 20 points.
Holy Cross (4-2) won 69-65 at Albany (2-3).
Virginia Commonwealth (4-1) lost in OT to St. John's at the Barclay's Center. Isaac Vann had 30 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for VCU, so he may be a matchup problem for the Gaels. Shamorie Ponds led the 5-0 Redmen with 35 points and former Quinny player Mikey Dixon provided 10 points off the bench.
Marist (1-3), up by 14 with under 4 minutes to play, were then outscored 21-3 and lost 64-60 at Steven F. Austin. Isaiah Lamb led the Red Foxes with 15 points.

VCU will be a very tough game. A wild shot from 30 at the buzzer and it didn't come anywhere close to the basket. I had to see it three or four times before I saw that slight touch. So did the announcers. It didn't have anything to do with him missing the shot so badly. A lot of bad calls and no calls tonight including the tech on Sham. On cbssn they played it a few times and they all said "nothing there". Fran ( remember he despises SJU because he was fired after two years" sounded very authoritative when he said "that is a foul in every gym in the country". First of all, no it's not, not even with 10 minutes left. But it was so slight and it didn't have anything to do with him missing it. You're not going to see that called at the end. Not anywhere. Fran needs to be more objective.

Kids a great player, but he cries over every foul. VCU was robbed, but hey you're a St. John's fan so I understand where you're coming from.

Agree, when you hit someone on the arm shooting a shot it’s a foul, period. Ref didn’t have the balls to call it and it was a dumb foul by ponds that should have been called and would have cost them the game.

Vann transferred from Maine (Bobby Walsh) and his loss made it clear that there was no way BW could be successful at Maine.
